True, they're for new group of the year in whatever the major awards you have there. Have found 4 PVs and a single, good start, hopefully lot more will be coming from them in the future.
They have a somewhat big cult following in the UK, they've played quite a few shows there.

Didn't know they were so popular, not the kind of music you would here on the radio. Know someone from Sweden who swears they are the biggest Hiro fan ever in the world!

who the hell is hiro hitomi??
Hiroyuki Hayashi, aka Hiro, singer/guitarist for them. Noticed not nearly as many music fans as other things, not too many threads or posts in many of them, except of course for Arashi, etc.

Couple sites I go to find out things, not easy here to find info/CDs/etc, not many bands are known over here. Here's one was just on tonight, not great, but has the more unknown, rockish bands.

Figured I'd post this here. If you're in the US and are a fan of Japanese rock, you should consider going to the Japan Nite tour. The lineup & schedule for the 2010 edition is out. I'm super excited cause Chatmonchy are finally coming to the US. Though, Chatmonchy won't be coming up here to Boston (technically Cambridge, MA), they will be down in Austin, TX. I'm hoping I can go to that, but I'm in the process of switching jobs so I don't know what my schedule will be like. Stereopony was part of this tour last year.

Turned into more than a SP thread now, other Japanese music thread strays off the subject too much, maybe we can use this for that purpose(?) See that the show is scheduled for March 22nd.

What other bands do you like then, you siad more rock/punk. Number Girl I used to like, shame they broke up, GG7188 is really good, also Bleach, EX-GIRL, seem to be quite a few female rockers from there.
