I try not to look at walkthroughs too much. But sometimes I just have to: It gets too frustrating sometimes
Like the other night on FFX: I spent half an hour running around an area, moving spheres from one place to another, stepping on switches... and I'm still none the wiser about how to solve the puzzle

Doesn't it make you wonder how anyone works it out?
I'm sure it's people that have more time on their hands than you or me
On a brighter note, I complete the story for Harry Potter, but I'm only 86% done of the game because I haven't found all of Luna's belongings and I still need to make some discoveries in DADA classroom and other places.
I'm also 68% done Enchanted Arms. _________________

Any folks here who have a PSP? I like the idea of being able to play anywhere. They're expensive, though.
I'm still on Oblivion, and oh my, it's still so fabulous. This has to be the best game I've ever played (admittedly, I haven't played many though, lol).
I'm interested in Fallout 3, too, because I think it's by the same people as Oblivion.

Well, maybe my level (20) is higher than yours, but it sounds as though you have done many more quests than I have.
You have the mod that makes it take longer for you to level up, don't you?
I wish I didn't have to level up so quickly (this is when non-moddable consoles can suck).
Oh, I've been meaning to ask...have you bought a house in Skingrad? I want to, but apparently I'm not famous enough. Hmph!
My stats screen says that I have completed 76 quests and have 14 current quests. My fame is 80.
Yes, I have a level slowing mod that makes it 3x as hard to level up. Sometimes it takes over a week to level up, depending on what I'm doing. I usually have to do a lot of killing to level up.
I have not purchased any houses yet. I use a Dimensional Pocket house mod. It gives you a spell called "Create Gateway" which causes the following to appear. It actually rises out of the ground with a growling noise.
I touch it and I am teleported to my house. All of the interior screenshots that I have posted are from inside that house. The cool thing about that house is that you can get to it from anywhere. And upon exiting the house, you are teleported back to where you were.

I have one. I got it awhile back so it's the "phat" version. I am currently playing Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- on it. If you have a PS3, you can link the PSP and the PS3 together and do all sorts of stuff, I hear...but I don't have a PS3 yet....
AnimeDad, have you finished that Cloister of Trial yet? Where are you in FFX now?
Wynter, did you get your bro's router configured the way you wanted? Sorry, this one's OT....

I knew it! Your fame and completed quests are much higher than mine.
I have about 43 completed quests, and about 24 active.
My fame is about 43, I think.
I'm trying to recall these stats, so I might have got them a bit wrong.
Woo, I love the idea of a packet house *jealous*. It'd be so cool to have my own sanctuary anywhere I chose. Lol, the growling noise is a nice touch.
I got my house in Skingrad. Now I have houses in the Imperial City, and Anvil as well.
It's Benirus Manor in Anvil - a very nice place it is too, once you rid it of some undesirables, heh.( Actually, if you want to do all the quests, I think you'll have to buy Benirus Manor too, as there's a quest that goes with it.)
The Imperial City house is like a shack, though!
Hmm, today I have been puzzled by Count Hassildor. Wanting me to get rid of folk...but I'm unsure how to do it.

Ooh, how do you find it? Yeah, I'd seen there's a newer slimline PSP. It looks great (btw, which colour do you have?). I'd want a black one.
Is it true about the battery lasting 2.5 hours? At least, it seemed to say that in the specs I've seen. I was a bit surprised - it doesn't seem that long.
I'd read there's stuff you can do with your PSP and PS3 - looks very interesting.
You said you don't have a PS3 "yet" - does that mean you intend to at some point?

You can find the vampire hunters and kill them outright, or you can kill the vampires in the cave and show them the vampire dust. They'll then leave the city. There actually is a third option, but I can't remember that right now. I think this is the quest you're on.

I like it. I got it to use as a portable entertainment device, more than just a gaming system. Mine is black as that was the only color available then. I play movies off it, but the best thng is that I can put my own videos on it. So I have some anime and J-Drama on it to watch if I'm stuck somewhere (I usually take it when travelling). I have eps of Moto Kare and Blood+ on it. I can change that whenever I want. I also have someting like 4 hours of music on it; all that stuff is on a 2GB stick.
The battery life depends on what you are doing. If you are playing a wireless game with a friend and your disc is spinning, you might get only 2.5 hours. If I watch something off the stick, as there is no disc spinning, I'll get 8 hours. If I listen to music with the screen off, it's about 12 hours. IIRC.
As you probably guessed, I mainly play JRPGs. I do like FPS but I'd rather play those on my PC. I'm better at the keyboard and mouse than the controller at FPS's. As the PS platform has traditionally had most of the JRPGs, I figure that I'll eventually get a PS3 for them. However, as there are no games I really want to play on the PS3 right now, I'm still waiting. (I'm not saying that there aren't good games out now, just not one that has motivated me to buy a PS3.) I am hoping that they'll have a Final Fantasy XIII PS3 bundle, like they are doing with Metal Gear Solid. I'll definately get a PS3 when FFXIII comes out. I am interested in Valkyria Chronicles. I hear that there is Star Ocean 4 and a Shin Megami Tensei game in the works. I sorta hope they'll have Xenosaga IV on it, but that's just me dreaming.

Ah, thanks for the information, Madoka! I was worried about the battery life, but you've explained it well, and now I understand more that 2.5 hours isn't the absolute battery-life limit.
Yes, as well as gaming, I very much like the idea of a portable device to store video and music on, too. You said you put Jdramas on your PSP - how does that work...I mean, are the subtitles readable ok on such a small screen?
(I probably wouldn't want dramas on mine - I'm thinking more video from my digital camera, and music videos, perhaps.)
Yeah, it's still early days for PS3 - there's so much more to come for this console.
I've never played on my PC...I feel strange about gaming without a console and controller, I suppose. Lately, I've been wondering about whether to try Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind on my laptop. It's really cheap now for PC, but I'm not sure my laptop would cope well.
Oh, thanks for the advice on my quest. But
Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:
I've killed all the vampires and have their dust in my inventory. Now my quest log is telling me to deal with the vampire hunters. Well, I killed one of them, then got a visit from the Dark Brotherhood. And I'm not happy about that. So I've returned to my earlier save. I'm thinking of going to see Count Hassildor to see if he says anything else. I don't seem to get anywhere when I speak to the hunters. I did tell the main hunter where the vampires were, and they came and helped me kill the last couple of vampires.

I did the Count's quest the advised way to avoid the bug - and it's worked.
But now I have a problem with a bug with the Order Of The Virtuous Blood quest, so I'm going to have to leave it.
The door to Ralsa's house becomes a hard lock when I speak to her inside, and it shouldn't.

If you have a "popup" that says I'm online, it means I'm on the xbox. If I'm only in friend list, but no popup, it's msn. I got it open all the time at work, but can't chat.

Got 2 actually. They are both gathering dust. The last game I played on it was Vice city stories when it came out. I got the fat version too, so really slow load times. I've heard the slim is better, but the fat was hella too slow. Noisy too.
Lumines is nice. Didn't have much games for a long time. I think I'll check FFVII. _________________

Oh..! I hadn't considered PSPs might make any noise. I know it's hard to quantify, but can you liken the noise to anything?
I know I got really bothered by the noise of the fat PS2, so if it's anything like that, I'm going to be seriously put off the idea of ever getting a PSP.
I'm cheered tonight as I worked out how to get past the door bug on the Order Of The Virtuous Blood quest.
I sat down and hoped the door would become unlocked after a few minutes...and it did. Yay for me.
