Just finished watching I want to become a hard persimmon. It's quite enjoyable, though I was watching really only for Chen Yihan. Skipped almost all of the plot with the supporting characters in the second half. The main couple had good chemistry together, and Chen Yihan's performance was a standout. Going to look up her other works, Hear Me sounds like a good movie.

How to recognize a Taiwanese drama?
- Everybody is beautiful to perfection,
- male protagonists are always over 1,80cm tall,
- the hero and the heroine always have silly inner dialogues,
- endless flashbacks, voiced over by the hero or the heroine,
- often better kissing scenes,
- idols are often a bit older than their Japanese counterparties,
- often a about a gal and a guy who canft stand each other but have to spend time together
- are faster in adapting popular mangas
- ...

Recommended dramas IMHO:
- Mars
- Black and White
- At Dolphin Bay
- Bump-off Lovers
- Waiting for you
- c

w00t! Mr Green Victory! Peace!

If you like Vic Zhou you should check out Silence as well.

Personally speaking, I adored the first series of Meteor Garden. Victory! Peace!

I watched two Taiwanese dramas, admittingly a while ago:
Down with love with Ella and Jerry Yan as well as as Autumn's Concerto with Va Ness Wu (I follow the guy on twitter - who knows why, all he does is thanking god and his family hehehehe)

Now although drama Autumn got raving reviews (I believe), I liked the cheesy cliche romantic comedy Down with Love much better, at least the couple bickering was fun. But honestly I wouldn't recommend neither!

Time for new Vic Zhou drama pleasssssssssseeeeeeeee! Fingers crossed

I watched Black and White some time ago, but didn't finish it. The cliffhangers kept me watching initially, the action scenes were well done and looked authentic, but I just didn't care enough about how the story would unfold or what kind of twist and secret would be revealed. The police (and esp. Hero) seemed a bit naive and clueless, which turned me off too. The much talked about ambiguity between light and darkness, right and wrong, didn't work for me. The script just wasn't good enough.

Also watched the first 3 episodes of Love keeps going. Can't stand the 2 families except the leads, and didn't like where the plot was going, so I stopped.

I watched the first 6.5 episodes of In Time with You, Ariel Lin's latest and possibly last TV series. It's not bad, but the sophisticated discussion about romance isn't really my thing. There were some passages that I skipped, and I wish they could have other aspects of life interwoven with love/romance. Currently, it seems separate and too much for my liking. But most of it is quite easy to watch. The thing I want to find out most though is how did the 2 main characters become best friends, the girl was still very heavily guarded against the guy when they entered university. They have good rapport but I am not convinced about their chemistry yet.
