As expected - but unfortunately it doesn't tell us anything about the quality. But I have convinced (or lied to) myself that it's worth a try and started dloading the first episode.

^ For a Jdrama, it's a pretty high 1st-ep. rating. But for a Kimura renzoku, it's the lowest since... uh, NEMURERU MORI back in '98. ("The times they are a-changing..." *strum strum* )

I'll wait for this baby to be fully subbed before giving it a go. Waiting is a b*tch, but that's just how I roll...

I struggled through the first episode. I was only looking forward to one thing : His new hairdo.

Kimura is a revelation. If there's anything to praise him for, it is his consistent delivery of insipid acting and a misguided sense of what makes a cool character.

Ep1 was forgettable.

The production quality was good obviously with a big budget, but I found some scenes awkward and jarring. It was watchable I guess, but there wasn't much chemistry between Kimura and any of the 3 cliche female characters.

I thought this show sounded interesting, since I'm into interior design.

But the first episode was really hard to get through. I don't know, this show leaves a bad taste in my mouth lol.

No need to shush. Peggy is not impressed with episode 1. I d/l but I think I will refrain from much comment until I get subs. Or maybe not...here goes...
This was the most haphazard thing to watch. Too many people rushing around in very unpleasant settings. Everything looked unfinished, which may have been the idea, but it thoroughly bothered my eyes. Too much stuff lying around. How did they not fall down or bump into the scenery.

I was not impressed with Chinlings appearance or acting. I thought a little overacting myself. If Rensuke ends up with her I shall be rattled. Let him have a roaring affair and plenty of passionate scenes with her but don't tell me he will change from a hardbitten sob of a CEO because of her in any way. If he changes and that is a large if, it will be because he finally finds that his longtime friend and helper Memai is in his heart.
I don't know how this will be accomplished but they have to give me some pleasant surroundings, and at least beautiful furniture settings, to make it a no.1 drama

Ratings were good for dramas nowadays. Kimura is as good an actor as anyone in his age group and maybe better than most younger ones. He will never be an Al Pacino.. no insult meant here... got to leave that to a Korean actor..Jang Hyuck..I still love Kimura san. It's a matter of vibes given and vibes received.

Never seen a drama with KimuTaku in it but gonna check this out for the supporting cast. I like the theme song toooo

I saw him in Engine and wasn't particularly impressed: no chemistry with Koyuki whatsoever... The race cars and orphans were more interesting.

A lot of ep1 was spent on Lin Chiling's character. There wasn't much on Rensuke's company and interior design besides a harebrained scheme to get Xiu Mei to be his model.

Why he had to choose her of all people ... I don't know.

I couldn't stand Mr Brain, Change I sat through because of the delightful Fukatsu Eri, Engine was a disaster ... I'm wondering how far wrong Tsuki no Koibito can go.
