I just got my answer why the Chinese forum is slow (or non-existent) with the updates this week...turns out the guy who was posting the JPN Gou subs (and many other dramas) got his files from the same source as mine >.<

I found out because he just posted in d-addicts asking why the source's site no longer works, and he has the same screen name as in the Chinese forums.

orz.......

So what does that mean?

Are we in trouble sub-wise? Sweat

Right now all I can say is...back to square one for me.

I'll keep my eyes on the Chinese subbing groups who having been translating Gou as well, afaik there're 3...and all of them seem to be stuck as well. If they somehow manage to get the JP script...I'll see what I can do.

I'll also keep looking around the web to see if there's another source...also downloading other releases of the episode to see if any of them has JP subs. Will keep you guys updated.

If the entire softsub thing crashes and burns, we still have the KIKU-TV (Hawaii) hardsubbed videos to watch.

Hopefully some kind, generous soul will record them all (hope they're in HD) and put 'em up on D-Addicts. Fingers crossed

Found a script file with both Chinese and Japanese, so it's a little extra work for me to take out the Chinese words and upload the JP part to d-addicts, then I'll translate it.

This is from one of the groups that does Chinese subs for Gou.

I'll take it over translating from pure listening comprehension.

Well NOW I'm a fanboy lol because this is my first Juri-chan drama. I originally picked this drama to sub because I'm always interested in Sengoku dramas and I'm doing this also to prepare/review for my Japanese proficiency exam in December.

So when the series is over, I'll be ready (hopefully) to take the exam!

For some reason, while watching Ep. 4, I remembered that in England, Elizabeth I reigned and, in a few years, would have to face the Spanish Armada (1588).

What an interesting and dangerous time to be alive, I thought, on both sides of the globe!

I don't care what bad things they say about Oda Nobunaga. I think he is one wonderful person. He was one of the giants of history and not just for Japan.

Wonderful man.
