I started out as an anime fan of many years, and then a trader sent me Refrain. A rather sub standard jdrama, but it got me started.

Its awesome how well youre doing in your language studies, AD! Applaud

@Lifo- I kinda wondered which you were. Big Grin

Yep, you can thank jdorama.com for my Jdrama obsession. IIRC, I created an account because I wanted to ask a question in the Learn Japanese forum. 3 years and 10K posts later, here I am ashamed I was anime-obsessed and read at a forum about a live-action version of GTO around the same time Smile I'm still learning to speak/read/write Japanese too Big Grin

And I used to think you were part-Japanese because you could read/type the characters. Sweat Amazing! Do keep it up! Thumbsup

She has.

I don't know about female comparisons, but Korean guys are MUCH HOTTER than Japanese guys. First off, you can tell that they're MEN, and not women trying to be men. Second, they have drop-dead lusty bodies. Third, they exude masculinity.

Aside from a very rare bunch of Japanese male actors (Abe, Yutaka, Tomoya) most have very little masculine sex appeal.

You can't possibly be suggesting that you don't think there is 'plastic' in j-dramas.

I'm not delusional. I know that there are people in the J-ent that have surgeries done but it's well known that there are more people in Korea that have plastic surgery. Judging by all the ugly kids in Kdramas, that's gotta be true. Bleah

It's really sad how a lot of Japanese actors nowadays are more on the feminine side. Like you, I prefer the actors who look and act like men. I guess that's why I like older actors like Sano Shiro, Mizutani Yutaka, Terajima Susumu, Fukuyama Masaharu, etc.

Perhaps this thread should be renamed as "Are you a male or female Asian celebrity?" Mr Green

He is a Korean "singer", part of a boy band. I'm not sure if he has acted in any movie or show.

There is an exception to everything, but like Eve said, guys like him are rare. It's like, Korean's have girly men at the same ratio that Japanese have masculine men.
