It's some wacky game show with celebrities...
From CNN.com:
Japan's hottest game show is "Tokyo Friend Park II," which features a pair of celebrities competing in a series of oddball events -- like flinging themselves against a wall-sized Velcro target to see who sticks ("Wall Crash") or trying not to drop precariously balanced boxes of take-out food while riding a motorbike simulator ("Delivery Deluxe").
The prizes for completing these odd tasks are often just tokens. For example, after sweating through a recent episode of "Tokyo Friend Park II", popular sumo wrestler Takatoriki was rewarded with a triple-decker bunk bed for his kids.
Cool !!! Seems to be funny !!!!
News about Haru And Natsu (from NHK's home page):
Major drama series, Haru, Natsu and the Undelivered Letter, in celebration of the 80th anniversary of broadcasting in 2005
The drama has been written by Sugako Hashida. It will be the culmination of her career that includes the morning drama serial, Oshin, which is now being distributed worldwide. The series will consist of five parts, and will be aired in the autumn of 2005. The long-term location shooting that started in Brazil last May is now over, and the leading actors/actresses, Ryoko Yonekura, Yoko Nogiwa, Saori Yuki, and Masahiro Takashima, returned to Japan on July 19. This location shooting accounted for about one third of the entire saga, which starts with the emigration of Haru and her family to Brazil from Japan, and leads up to the familys success as they become the owners of an extensive ranch after many years of trial and failure. The first live relay in HDTV from the location site in South America was aired in NHK News 10 on July 7.
On July 3, Saori Yuki, a singer who acted a part in this drama serial, and her sister, Sachiko Yasuda, also a singer, gave a recital of Japanese childrens songs in Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil, the place where most of the location shooting took place. Scenes from this recital were aired in NHKs morning magazine show, Have a Good Day!, on July 22.
The second phase of the location shooting will begin in August on the northern island of Hokkaido. _________________
