That sucks. They should at least keep the original title somewhere.
byakuya means Midnight Sun, so they literally translated the title, but it's probably not the kind of words people learn first. |
I really wish that they did keep the original title somewhere on the KIKU site. They used to when they had individual pages for each drama, but they've been getting lazier with that.
And I didn't realize that it meant "midnight sun." And looking at the kanji alone doesn't help since literally it means "white/pale night journey," so I had a bitch of a time trying to find it on the Jdorama database (was trying to find it via "mayonaka" and the like). It was only by chance that I saw a commercial for it that described it as a "dark" drama and I saw Ayase Haruka, then put 2 and 2 together. (I think that's my favorite emoticon)

Yea......I would either see her running around playing the Sax or chasing after "Chiaki-sama" and then seeing gay guy with the massive Fro following in the distance crying

A the beginning mine were like that, but with more partying. After 6 months, they kind of end up sucking. And the cast wasn't as good looking as in Orange Days. _________________
