just realized, missed that one. good idea Geezer-san.
i don't often do downloads and this is a little off topic but can ask somethin? do subs go in packages with the RAWs? like if you download the dorama from a place and the subs from another that's alright? if not, how do you attach it? thx
The process is discussed in this thread:http://jdorama.com/viewtopic.5900.htm
If you use your PC to watch dramas, then you need to install VobSub: it automatically inserts the (soft) subtitles as you're watching the show...
To watch drama on your TV, you need to hardsub the drama, i.e., merge the video with the soft subtitles on your PC, encode the video, then burn a disc to play on your DVD player... More complicated, but more universal if you're going to share with friends, relatives, etc.
It's a good idea for a thread, if it doesn't already exist...
Anyone wanna volunteer to start/maintain a thread like this? It'd be great help to all the J-D fans here...
Found an English subs thread here: http://jdorama.com/viewtopic.1002.htm, but I think it needs to be reworked so that the first entry lists the link locations that people can go to look for subs... I think to have all the subs listed per drama would be too massive a task.
Also, we can list links to site that have subs for the J-movies as well.
Maybe it would be better to start a new thread....

I suggest you guys use the fansub wiki site of completed drama projects at d-addicts, it's pretty well organized and has basically every show ever subtitled on it.
On topic I'm almost done Concerto starring Kimura Takuya. It's slow paced but I am still finding it interesting with all the conflict created between the two guys being rival architects and fighting for the same woman. It's refreshing to see a drama where all the characters are facing real, adult problems that I can relate to.
I plan on starting Mahiru no Tsuki today, i haven't seen Oda Yuji in a very dramatic role yet so I'm looking forward to that.

D-Addicts is a great resource for subs. But there are, I believe, some groups that choose to post their subs on their own sites rather than d-addicts.
As to starting a thread... I could do that. But since I never spend more than a combined 30 minutes near the computer per day... I don't think I could do much of a job maintaining it.
Sorry about wandering off topic, but I just didn't know where else to ask these questions. _________________

Too bad no one who lives/lived in Hawaii recorded Concerto & Mahiru no Tsuki because I remember they were shown on TV (KIKU) with subtitles back in the 90's. I wish I could go back in time with my DVD recorder and record all those old school shows. _________________

nearly perfect...
it's just that sometimes, it becomes really depressing. but other than that, this is one hell of na excellent show! the twists in this dorama is so unexpected, just hen you thought you can already see the upcoming twist, there's actually another one after it.
i wonder how long did they do the casting to get these casts? amazing! all of them acted perfectly with their role. and the setting is just awsome. and, it didn't feel Takuya Kimura-centered at all. compact, not draggy. starting from episode 6 everything became so intense, my jaws dropped a couple o times, really touchy too. and the ending is one of the best endings ever.
out of the ones i've seen, this is the best Takuya Kimura performance ever!!! it's not the cool-bob guy character trying to hold his manly dream with an extra teenage love-story seasoning. His acting was mature and charismatic. even Hasegawa Kyoko was marvellous.
i definitely recommend this to everyone!
runpup-san, i already knew this is going to turn out great after the 3rd episode, i really enjjoyed it. actually, i finished this nearly in less than 24 hours if the subs for the last episode hadn't gone dumb on me
after 2004, the "KON" dorama Nobuta wo Produce won first place in the 2005 Japanese Academy Awards, and that's when i started to make my own conclusion: the real worth watching winner is always the one at the #2 spot
i think i'm really going to enjoy this 5 day holiday, after this, the last season of Shinsengumi
i'm a happy teenybopper dorama lover _________________

Hmm. I use Ulead DVD workshop 2 which encodes the subs as soft subs and is playable on TV. This allows me to turn the subs off if I want to try to understand the native tongue.
But it says I have to register... and there's no register link.
sorry Wyn-san. i don't really do downloads, i didn't download it myself. so i don't even know the address for Kioku fansubs, but the subs are from Kioku. so i can't really help _________________
