i think Karei naru Ichizoku is a totally spanking new role which kimura ever starred. the storyline is serious and deep. i didn't smile/laugh once throughout the entire show. hahaha. nice.

Finished epi 1 of Shomuni 1 I'm not sure where this is going, but I want to see more, and that's always a good sign.

Don't worry about where Shomuni is going. It's not going anywhere. It's not really a serial. Each episode is pretty much self contained.

Arigato Geezer, yes, having finished episode 2, that makes perfect sense! I'm a big fan of Ken Ishiguro, he's always rock solid.

finished 14 Sai no Haha

7.5/10

i actually think it was a bit overhyped. it wasn't as good as i thought it would be. and the pace is just too slow. But the role girl (forgot her name) i love how she started as one hell of an annoying 14 year old teen brat and becomes mature as months pass by

but it did feel more like 14 year-old pregnant girl instead of 14 year-old mother

amusing OST. i love how the background music keeps playing all the time. and i love Mr.Children's song

Always. He holds his own... and never never never upstages the leading lady. That's why he gets so much work.

I loved Shomuni. All three seasons, and the specials. I've only seen 2 of the 3 specials, but they're all fantastic.

And I've seen a lot of models & movie stars do their Homage to the late great Betty Paige. But no one ever did it better than Esumi Makiko's Chinatsu.

Quick note: turns out they've recently opened the first "Shomuni Cafe" in Japan.

I had all 3 seasons saved on my h/d until recently, but I had to delete them ...

I saved one episode, so I could watch it when I wanted...my favorite...the eathquake episode...

Everybody in one place at the same time...I love this one because it was so sweet emotionally ...

Hosho Mai really really got to shine in this episode...

and the ending credits with Esumi singing and dancing "One Way Drive"...how could it get any better!!!
