Arrrgh! That's why they make DVDs!!!

More so than with any other show, whenever my mood is fritzed, I can grab my Shomuni discs and watch an episode completely at random.

I do have to upgrade my copies though. They're old TV rips, and some of the subs are pretty bad.

The starting was solid, but it's getting a little stretched right now. I'm still enjoying it... but I haven't finished it yet. I'll let you know when I finished. Thumbsup

LOL! I'm glad you enjoyed Pride. I can't watch more than one Kimutaku drama in a row. I have to space them out because soemtimes he doesn't change his acting style... and it feels like hte same character all over again. He's still grand tho. Victory! Peace!

On Topic: Engine Epi 8.

LOL I guess his characters were kinda similar in Pride and Good Luck... I'm ok with it at the moment... we'll see how long it takes me to get bored (though... I do have a pretty long attention span when it comes to dramas... well unless they completely suck Mr Green )
I would love to see him play a darker character now, I guess really to see if he can. I know he can play the lovable protagonist now I want to see if he can play a tortured antagonist.
But I am looking forwards to my Engine now!!! *looks up* I'll start it tomorrow

On Topic: Right at this very moment in time I am not watching any dorama because I am typint this Beaten but *points up* as I said I finished Pride and am planning to start Engine next Victory! Peace!

episode 4 of the Ring TV series

The music director is really really lame! imagine a horror show with music that sounds like some Kamen Rider tokusatsu thingi music when about to battle shockers. it really didn't feel like a horror dorama.
who the hell sang the ending song? he sounds like someone drunk! Unlike Chakushin Ari, somehow Ringu feels strange. Ringu has this crappy drama scenes like some sort of soap opera.

but, what's important, it's daymn scary!

How does it stack up to the Ringu movies? The first one was great, the second not so. I haven't watched the prequel (Ringu 0) or Rasen yet.

i haven't seen most of the ring movies you mentioned up there, actually, i don't remember which Ring i've seen.

Well the killer video is a j-pop idol PV Beaten . It has a freaky character, Nagase Tomoya, as some sort of psychic. And a movie turned into a dorama, some parts are definitely draggy. Yeah, actually ring TV series has a lot of annoying characters. music kinda sucks.

and unlike One Missed Call TV series (Chakushin Ari) that has a different case every episode, this one doesn't. it's too connected. that's why it feels draggy.

for now, movie is better. but i haven't finished it anyway

For me on the other hand that's exactly why I watch him. I want the same character as in Pride and Love Generation. I could watch those roles endlessly. Of course Takeuchi Yuko and Takako Matsu would have to be in there also. And I'm more accustomed to watching the same characters over the span of a year from long association with asadoras...

Finished epi 3 of Shomuni 1 don't want to give away too much, but the gist of the episode is that the company needs make cost cutting moves. What cracked me up was that one of the moves was to reduce the lighting, a few years ago, they did the same exact thing where I work!! I just wish we'd have come with as "creative" a solution to make management change their mind as they did. Twisted
