It's about time! I'll be interested to know what you think of it (you'll need a lot of patience in the beginning). Smile

Finished epi 8 of Engine. Jurin-chan had me crying my eyes out! Shameful Cry

Seikei Bijin? I really enjoyed that show. I have no idea why Ryoko abandoned comedy for melo-dramatic soaps.

Really? For "Seikei Bijin"? That show had me from beginning to end.

Re: "Ring" the TV series. I thought it was a fairly good try to make a series out of the movie. But as you mentioned, the music during the episodes is a killer.

There they are, trying to set this dark, dangerous, spooky mood... and they're playing dippy little tunes from Saturday Morning Cartoons.

Then suddenly they shift, and start playing action music from 1950's American TV cop shows.

I used to list "Hero" as the series with the worst background music. (Not theme music, but background music) But "Ring" knocked "Hero" right out of the #1 spot.

As for me...

I'm looking at watching the final episode of Kekkon Dekinai Otoko tonight, and I'm truely bummed. I do not want this to end.

if she left comedy for doramas like Warui Yatsura, i won't mind hehe

on eps 8 of Ring. and it seems like i need to watch Rasen, it's what happens after Sadako left the well. Tired the name "Sadako" appeared on episode 7. Boy this is really like a 9 hour Ring movie.

the less ghosts and too much searching is starting to make it look like the X-Files ... Sweat

I fell the same way.

Hard to get jazzed about a drama with such unsavory characters.

Right.

From the opening airport scene, you get snared into Honami's world... Victory! Peace!

Yea, but I think that's more a "guy" viewer thing. I mean, in the beginning I found her character desperate, annoying, and pathetic, regardless of all her "sex appeal". Mid-way tho when they started to give her more depth, I really got hooked.

Of course, this isn't a reflection on Ryoko-san's acting. She was flawless. It's completely a character analysis.

On Topic: Gonna go watch epi 9 of Engine. Thumbsup
