So I'm starting to itch for me Churasan, but I must be patient! Nana is getting to be hard to watch because I love the characters and it's hard to see them go through hardships in life. I'm still trekking on tho! _________________

Watched both Love and Farm thru ep 4 and Glass MAsk thru ep 4 in the last day or so.
Both are enjoyable in their own different ways though I must say I am finding Glass Mask especially addictive. _________________

Finished Brand...a very good show, not at all what I expected...bit of a nebulous ending though...
My first exposure to Imai Miki...wow, what a class act!...a truly elegant lady...looking forward to seeing more of her work if I can find it! _________________

Finished Kirakira Hikaru.
I really enjoyed it, but I have to say, the mysteries left a bit to be desired.
This show was about the people, the cast. And it was a great cast.
My only complaint is that I wish they'd had time to develop each of those characters more fully.
If I'm gonna knock this show for anything... it's the writing. The actors all looked like they were ready and waiting to burst out of the gate. But before they had a chance to really run... the show was over.
Now? Well, not that I'm suggestable or anything, but shin2 mentioned that he was enjoying Haken no Hinkaku http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1056.htm
and I had Ryoko Shinohara on the brain after watching Kirakira, so I've started "Haken". _________________
Hero episode 4.
Much disappointment since I dislike dramas that are really not dramas but a bunch of short stories masquerading as a drama.
Nevertheless I will watch it with gusto because ...... of course..... the two superstars of Japanese drama are the leads..... KimuTaku and Takako Matsu. Even if they stood still posing I would watch as it is a gift to be able to see them regardless the merit of the story.

I have to agree Ralph, I'm in the minority on this one, but I didn't like Hero A LOT. And when you factor in Abe Hiroshi is also in the cast, this one was a major disappointment for me.

Right. Forgot to mention Abe Hiroshi.... but even he is miscast here... not a very big nor spectacular part for an actor of his caliber.
Finished Haken no Hinkaku. Yet another terrific performance by Ryoko Shinohara. Further proof that she is arguably the best leading actress currently working in dorama.

Just watched ep 8 of Shinuka to Omotta 2007...I d/led eps 8 thru 13 from veoh, because they were the only ones with English subs (I say English...badly translated from Chinese, but good enough to figure out what's going on)
OK, here's the story line...female hero (actress Ryo) suffers from terrible constipation until she meets male hero (actor Suzuki Kosuke) who has a bad time with diarrhea...together they work it out...you've never heard the word unko so constantly used... _________________

She was also convincing as a nurse-magician. She delivered a baby from a woman lying on her side with her knees joined...
Just being consistent with her super haken character--the woman who can do the impossible.
Suspension of disbelief is a wonderful thing. It allows audiences to believe that 90 percent of those cardboard cuties and 100 percent of those androgynous stick figures are really good actors.
