Finished the first 2 episodes of Attention Please last night. It's a light comedy and even though Ueto Aya's a bit annoying, it's still a pretty fun watch. Miki Maya, who plays the stern, but caring teacher, is my favorite. In fact, I liked all of the roles that she's done. _________________

Maya was my favourite as well! Her character gets even better in the later episodes. I find Aya a bit annoying as well, but she was great in this particular role. I didn't mind her so much.
No they are not.
I only saw two episodes and they seem always to work on some cool concepts. But they donLt show the budget struggles, the negociations to get approvals and the sheer boredom linked to the execution of administrative tasks that have to be delivered as well. But hey itLs fiction!
I often feel like her though, after a long day, dress down, have a beer and relax!
i hate how this kakkoi dude shows up and he's like 'exceptional', (he wears a necklace, earring, highlights his hair, and wears a t-shirt to work) just coz he got back from London. lol very fiction. it's as if work is fun.
but Esther, are co-workers really like that? coz it was kinda different to the Katagoshi no Koibito situation.
anyway, you should continue watching. it gets better Hotaru and Buchou's character grows on you _________________

I started watching Hotaru No Hikari only because the greatest actress in the world Kuninaka Ryoko and the second greatest Ayase Haruka were in it. After the first episode I was ready to junk it.... BUT I persevered and was rewarded..... This drama really grows on you... It's now in my second tier favorites category. Naturally for me Ryoko chan will always be Eri from Churasan so this role was a bit difficult to swallow and Ayase will always be Aki from Crying Out Love.... As I said before her incredible nerd portrayal is testament to her greatness as a world class actor.
Downloaded and briefly scanned episode #1 of Shiori to Shimiko no Kaiki Jikenbo. It looks great. Probably going to have high ratings. Can't wait to watch it.
it was funny, entertaining, and has loveable characters! i really enjoyed Ayase Haruka's acting, and yes Ralph, Kuninaka Ryoko is gorgeous. I was going to give this dorama a 9.5/10 but -1 for that 1st really dumb and too absurd episode it was such a turn-off. and i like aiko song too _________________

Well... I finished Bengoshi no Kuzu and I thought so highly of it that I went back and redownloaded the raws from D-Addicts so that I can watch it again someday with the soft subs. (Thanks for pointing them out, runpup)
My thanks to the folks who are seeding it, and thanks to the fan subbers who decided to translate it.
I watched the show with a gawdawful set of Taiwanese English subs and I expect I'll enjoy it even more the next time I watch it. And I will re-watch this one.
and I'd already watched two episodes before I realized that an hour and a half had gone by. It's a comedy. It's a farce. It's bliss for someone who's just plain had it with manga inspired, pop idol starring, bits of sophomoric drivel.
It stars Akashiya Sanma once again playing a philandering, middle aged, salaryman.
It stars Susuki Anju as the secratary who gets caught up in Sanma's silly, only in a TV show, farcical situation.
It features Ryo!!!
It features Takashim Reiko back in the days when she was allowed to act. Allowed to have some fun. Allowed to do something other than stand-up straight in the corner of the screen and smile knowingly.
It features Hamada Mari as one of the sexy, young, girl friends who are complicating Sanma's life. The goofy one, yes. But this was long before Mari started playing goofy aunties, and goofy sister-in-laws, and goofy mothers. In this one, she's the goofy hottie.
It features... a whole platoon of talented, professional actors and actresses.
This is the kind of comedy that made me such a big fan of Japanese TV in the first place. I expect to be a very happy Geezer for the next few nights. _________________

Last night I started Koi no Bakansu
Ooh, this is one of my top 5 favorite dramas and it looks like you're enjoying it too. Gotta love Akashiya Sanma's crazy role in this drama, not to mention the other colorful characters. _________________
