I'm almost done with Yamato Nadeshiko. I didn't think I would like it, but it's been pretty enjoyable, even when I get annoyed with the characters and the not-so-good subs.

Next I think I will finish Aoi Tori/L'oisseau bleu, which I have seen the first couple episodes of.

Just finished TANTEI GAKUEN Q live action...

currently watching Nagase Tomoya's MY BOSS MY HERO and I'm loving it! So freaking hilarious! Kinda reminds me of Gokusen, a bit... hehe but I really like this one!

I've been watching Fukigen na Jiin ("Grumpy Gene")

http://jdorama.com/drama.854.htm

And it's frustrating as hell... because it's just not working for me.

The discs work great... it's the show that's not working. And I don't get it.

It's a light, fluffy, romantic comedy. I love those.

It stars, Takeuchi Yuko, Kobayashi Satomi, Odagiri Joe, and Uchino Masaaki. I love all of them.

They're all favorites of mine, and they all seem to be having a wonderful time doing the show.

But I don't care. And that's frustrating. I just don't seem to "care" about this show.

That show sucked....it was the worst thing I've ever seen Yuko Takeuchi star in...I gave it a 5/10

Great stars, bad storytelling.

The subs for that show were left on the shelf for well over a year so I waiting, along with others, for a looooong time before the subs were complete....after watching it I thought it was a mediocre effort at best....I'd rather watch Kamikaze Girls with Kyoko Fukada again...that should tell you something.

Yup. I actually watched the first few eps and then let it collect dust for a few months...and then finished it off....that's a sign right there...if you don't feel compelled to finish it on the first go.....I knew it wasn't going to get much better but somehow I finished it.....I seriously contemplated just chucking it at some point.

Not always....I gave up on S.O.S. with Kyoko, Boku no Madonna with Takky, Iryu, and Gal Circle.

There's an opportunity cost to everything....especially watching lame ass doramas that you know aren't going to please you even if you get to the end.

Re: all the Fukigen na Jiin comments: I was in the process of downloading the series, but it looks like I'll stop getting it since everyone here seems to think it's crap. Thanks for the warning. hehe

My criteria is if the first episode doesn't reel me in, then it's a lost cause.

You set the bar a bit higher than I do, but I can appreciate your sense of discernment. Beaten
