I've always thought that Becky was a little annoying in interviews but she was tolerable. However, her character Lily is several kinds of annoying. I can only stomach so many cutesy blowfish faced pouts and screeches of "MITAI NA!" before my ears bleed.

LOL, she was sorta annoying in the Nodame SP as well, but her screen time was minimal, thankfully.

I can't believe I haven't seen the Nodame SP yet *puts on list to track down*

But yeah, stay away from Anna-san no Omame, the series is literally centered around her being as completely irritating and annoying as possible.

She was tolerable in Tsuhanman, but mostly because she was just a side character. I'm afraid to watch Anna-san now. Sweat

On topic: Watched up to episode 8 of Hana Kimi. It's getting repetitive with all the competitions, but I still like it.

I saw the Nodame SP... but only because Yamaguchi Sayaka was in it. Someday I might watch it with subs... but they didn't seem necessary for my purposes. My review? Sayaka-san is always worth the price of admission. But boy... she plays the nasty/snarky/sexy character very very well.

Finished "Fake Bride"... and I have to say that ultimately... I was disappointed.

Ryoko Shinohara worked like a dog, trying to keep those plates spinning... but you know a show is missing something when you notice how hard the lead is working, trying to keep things interesting.

If I had to blame anyone, I'd blame the production schedule that forced them to film the show before the writer or writers had the time to develop their ideas, or use their entire cast.

It felt to me like they started filming with only the outline for a show in hand. And then got a bunch of interns to "flesh out" the scripts for each episode.

If I had it to do over again, I'd spread the episodes out a bit more. You know... wait a week or two between each. Probably wouldn't have helped... but I would have been less disappointed.

I am, however, having a great time (thanks to shin 2) watching "Partners" with my lunch. (And occasionally with my dinner)

A classic cop who-dunit, with a wonderful cast.

KEEP RECORDING CORI!. You're doing a great job!

I don't think I'm doing that great a job. Sweat I had some issues with commercials and my old recorder wasn't able to get some episodes, but I hope that I'll be able to get everything from now on.. Fingers crossed

On topic: I'm going to watch the 9th episode of Hana Kim some time soon while I'm authoring DVDs. I like this show, but I just want it to end already because it's too repetitive.

I would if the main story sucked, but I like it. It's just the competitions and crap like that that bores me a bit and I don't know why it's getting really high reviews unless it's just a fangirl thing that I don't really get (most of the guys are fug or too girly). So far, my rating will probably be an 8/10.

I like the gayness of the show and Nakatsu ~finding himself~ the best. Mr Green

Finished the first 2 episodes of Golden Bowl The good news: Now I know why A.D. has Ryo Matsumoto as one of his favorites. HOT! The bad news: I'm REALLY getting tired of Paul Anka Bonk

Finished Toi Shinseki Chikaku no Tanin? / Combat in the Kitchen...

I can understand why Geezer said he'd forgotten watching this... the first 3 eps were pretty blah...

But ep 4 was a revelation and completely turned the show around...

Episode 5 (the finale) was a miracle of tying up at least 6 loose plot threads... a very good short drama with a great end!
