I'm playing Russian roulette again, waiting on the first team to finish an episode for the Spring shows (and still clinging desperately to the collection of Mop Girl episodes sitting on drive since last December *whimper*).

Shows I'm anticipating to watch this season:

- Last Friends (good cast, trying to avoid comments but not sounding too hot thus far)

- Gokusen 3 (you never know, it MIGHT be good Sweat )

- ROOKIES (I've become a HUGE Sato Ryuta fan ever since Utahime, and the backing cast are guys I've liked before)

- Zettai Kareshi (Premise seems interesting with the whole robo theme)

While on standby, I've actually been kinda lax on the dramas, watching a few episodes here and there of random favourites.

So Ive seen 4 of the short eps of Boku to Kanojo no XXX. Its about a switch between two students into the others bodies. Honestly that isnt a spoiler. It is the entire premise for the short series. Still it is cutely done. Some of the effects are quite funny. Im liking it. Big Grin

I'm watching Gokusen again with a cousin, so I'm not sure if I should still watch Bambino. Two dramas with MatsuJun at the same time? Sweat

Mebbe I'll watch the first epi of Bambino and see how it goes...

Let me clarify: I'm trying to avoid listening to the people who are ragging on the series as it's only into it's first episode. I suppose it's a typo if anything. Make sense?

I jumped into the conversation in the official thread on page 22 with phlargo's comments specifically, it wasn't cut-throat comments, but it was 'disappointment' comments.

Hopefully I don't have to break out a crayon drawing for explaining this! Sweat

Well, it's not really a rip... Some people have higher/different expectations than others...

I mean, if they were all positive comments and you in particular were disappointed, would that be better or any different than someone else saying they were disappointed?

I'll refer back to my comments on the Nodame SP and leave it at that to agree with you. I still want to see it, no need to defend my desire to avoid people's semi-negative comments! Bleah

Those who like Yasashii Jikan might want to try Hakei chichiue-sama too. Same screenwriter and Nino leads the cast.

I thought "Double Shot" is good cop drama........

Currently watching (or finishing) Manhatten Love Story and the annual showcase of ɂȕ语(japanese version of twilight zone)

I've been watching "Shika Otoko Aoniyoshi"

http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Shikaotoko_Aoniyoshi

Sort of a fantasy/quest/talking animals/--- thinger.

Not bad. Not great, but...

As a rule with stories like this I'm a big fan of saying the journey is the thing. I mean, the end, the punch line is pretty much always the same. They lived happily ever after. You know? (If not, the world is destroyed and there's noone left to watch the TV show.)

So you have to enjoy the journey. You have to enjoy the unraveling of the mystery...

With this one, so far, I spend a lot of time thinking... get on with it! Get there!

On a pleasant, if trivial, note: Shibamoto Yuki has a supporting role in this show. She's the young actress who made her debut in Fuurin Kazan as Princess Yuu... and absolutely lit up the screen.

It's nice to see her in a modern role. I just wish she had a bit more to do.

THE HORROR! Mind you, I didn't mind him in Gokusen. Kimi wa Petto ruined it for me tho.
