Finished Motto Koi Seyo Otome...

There are so many doramas that start as romantic comedies, but quickly lose the comedy element....

Not so this one, if anything, the comedy grows by leaps and bounds, until it almost becomes a parody of itself....the fourth wall disappears almost completely....ordinarily, I would've had a problem with that, but it works very well here...

Frankly, this sequel is better than the original....

Sometimes it's great not to be carrying any baggage.

I watched Honey & Clover a couple of weeks ago, and I thought it was terrific. The over all story, the writing, and the cast.

My advantage: I don't read Manga. I don't watch anime. And I didn't see the movie before watching the series.

Since I wasn't comparing it to another version of itself... I got to appreciate it for what it was, all on its own.

Watched the hypnosis episode of Jikou Keisatsu 2. Whoever was thinking up that dining table sequence must have been on some serious medication.

Sometimes they really just trip out on this series... Rolling eyes

Any resemblance between AD and Eri's slacker dad is purely coincidental Mr Green

Rookies episode 1. Geez, most of these guys are way too old to be playing high school students. When Shirota Yuu's character mentioned about having to be under 18 to go in their secret room I nearly spit my drink all over my laptop. Sweat

That was what bothered me about My Boss, My Hero. Tomoya is obviously at least 10 years older than everybody else, I'm thinking, this school has got to have the stupidest faculty and students in all of Japan. Shake Head

Well, it had a lot of over-the-top comedy and that was part of it. I thought it was funny how he was so obviously older (and at least a head taller) than everyone. But they were still stupid anyway. Mr Green

I thought that was funny too. His age diff didn't bother me, except that he crushed on the high school girl. THAT was disturbing. bleh

On Topic: Before watching Galieo, I've decided to FINALLY watch the Nodame SP.

What was disturbing was the crush that Sakuranantoka had on him....that fool should have come out of the closet wearing a dress and pink lipstick.

Lmao. Sounds like this dude from Hanakimi, who had the crush on the MatsuJun lookalike:

(credit goes to hama-chan for the screencap Big Grin)

On topic: Watched a little of Ashita no Kita Yoshio. Seems promising so far, but why do I get the feeling like everyone in this drama is out to get him? And Kohinata Fumiyo is just so adorable so far. I think I need to see more of his work. ^_^

I finished Orange Days last night (full review pending) - was up 'til 4:50 AM finishing it up.

Accolades for Tsumabuki Satoshi (Kai). He was pretty amazing!

That could take awhile. He is the ultimate supporting actor, seems like he's in just about every other drama I've seen.

Detailed review posted. It was a difficult one to write because I just wanted to give it a 10 and be done... but I didn't Smile
