Both dramas I'm watching were recommended to me and I think that the dramas themselves are good, but I think I just get annoyed too easily by certain types of characters. Sweat

But didn't you watch KKK1993? I remember you recommending it to me after I watched KKK2003 and vomited all over the forum.

Haha, I started to, but the copy I had screwed up from episode 3 on, so I had to get a replacement. By then, I got involved with watching other dramas and didn't feel like watching it till now. Beaten

Cori

If you've decided to specialize in series that feature characters that are irritating, annoying, and downright unlikable... you might give "Sasaki Fusai no Jingi Naki Tatakai a try.

http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1255.htm

Through liberal use of the fast forward button I made it to the middle of the penultimate episode last night... but then I thought it would be more fun mopping the kitchen floor before going to bed, so I turned it off.

It's the story of a pair of battling lawyers. A married couple who seem destined to divorce.

I suppose the audience is supposed to side with one or the other characters, Koyuki or Goro. Or maybe the audience is supposed to hope that in the end... they don't get divorced.

Mostly I don't care. These two both just suck, and I hope the last scene takes place at their joint funeral. (The writer of the show should also be thrown under a bus.)

No bones about it. I've watched this much of the show because Koyuki is pretty hot in this one. But then they made her character pregnant, they put her in a fat suit... and my interest... flagged.

I'll finish it off tonight on the slim hope that in the final scene they all fall down a well.

This one might be just the show for you.

I likd that show... Puppy Dog Eyes Mr Green

I'm watching Ima Ai ni Yukimasu drama version now. Both the main actors look a little too young to be parents but whatever. It's not that bad but it moves a lot slower than the movie (obviously) since they're stretching out the story. I wonder if I will always like the version that I see first of something.

Watching through Episode 3 of Last Friends as I type this...this is one of those shows that is extremely hard to watch due to it's theme and background story, but that's in part due to the absolutely brilliant acting performed by every key member of the cast.

As I've said before, I tend to stick near the lighthearted shows and comedic dramas, or the action-based thrillers, but this one to me is pure headgame territory (at least early on). This is going to be in my recommendation list for a while if it keeps going the direction it is. I'm looking for a great showing come award time for the majority of the cast and show.

As for other shows, going through Zettai Kareshi, Rookies, and Gokusen 3 (which if you turn your brain off and keep the bar set extremely low, isn't all that bad really...again, watching it just to say I've watched it, hehe).

I watched three epi's of Galileo in a row today. Which means I'm on episode 6 now.

It's a pretty cookie-cutter story, but I'm really enjoying the two leads (kou-chan kawaii!!) and so I'm really enjoying the drama so far. Victory! Peace!

Just watched ep. 3 of Odoru Daisousasen. It's growing on me. I really enjoy the main guy's "relationship" with the girl in the hospital. I think it's neat she's his consciousness relief

Just finished Medaka. I didn't like this drama a lot, , ,
I liked this drama a WHOLE lot!!! Mimura was spectacular, the supporting cast was great. This ranks right up there with GTO in the high school type dramas. Thanks to Geezer and Eve for tipping me off on this one! Applaud

Wow, that just sounds PERFECT for me! Especially since I just love Koyuki and Goro. bleh

Ditto that. Reading everyone's reviews of favorable dramas makes me want to get rid of my so-called queue and watched what they watched. Bleah

On topic: Watched the 2nd episode of Joudan Ja nai. KIKU sure did a wonderful job of replacing that Jigoku drama with another one that irritates me almost as much as it did. OH wait. In fact, Joudan irritates me much more because it has no actor or actress that I consider to be a favorite. At least Jigoku had my Shiro, Esumi Makiko, and Nogiwa Yuko. Joudan had Oda Yuji (Odoru Daisanantoka remains his only good role as far as I'm concerned), Ueno Juri (I want to give her a couple of whacks in this role--she irritates me till no end), and Ohtake Shinobu (hated her role as Okachama in Audrey, hate her in this role too).

I think if this drama were more on the serious, darker side, it would've been a LOT better. Also, get rid of the Ohtake Shinobu and throw in Kuroki Hitomi as the ex-gf (much more believable as an ex-gf and current MILF). Oh wait. She already did that role many times, so I guess they needed to give some other middle-aged woman a chance. Still, it's a bad choice, imo. Why the hell am I still watching/recording this? Sweat

Finished Ep. 6 of Odoru Daisousasen and it's continued to grow on me. I really like the music. It's exciting and totally gets you pumped for the story. Reminds me of the music for the GTO anime - when you heard Onizuka theme start up, you knew it was time for action!

Also Rainbow Song this weekend and Last Friends Ep. 5. Juri fans unite!

Oh, and I watched the last half of the last ep. of Orange Days again... 'cause I felt I needed a good cry hehe

How about Last Friends?

Love to hear your take on this much-discussed (and maybe ground-breaking) drama... Victory! Peace!

Unfortunately, no nude scenes.... yet. Beaten

Watching Hataraki Man ep 5. Decent show. That's the best I can say about it. I can't really say anything particularly bad either though. Just decent.
