I liked Neverland alot. Mr Green
The story was slow to evolve but I thought all the characters were sympathetic with hidden depths. Nothing is as it first appears.
Hope you like it better as you go along.

Well, of course... Rolling eyes In love

Truth to tell, it seems her character is sorta out of place: she's so stylish and elegant and everyone else is sorta grungy... hehe

"Overtime"

One of the best all time!

"Married at 20"

Ryoko looks great.

Beyond that, I can't think of anything to say about that series that wouldn't sound snarky.

Right now, I'm watching "Ordinary People", (Asunaro Hakusho) but it's really starting to get on my nerves. Half way through and I"m already starting to use the fast forward button. (Never a good sign)

Boy, you guys are tough!! Mr Green

The family seems pretty amusing and non-conventional to me.

Suitable for a comedy.

It wont be making my top ten list however.

Or top 20 for that matter.

Yeah, for a comedy, I guess so.

But there's a lot of conflict. Head Scratch

For there to be a story, whether it be comic or tragic, there has to be some conflict.

It's just that with "Married at 20"... I didn't think there was any there there.

I didn't think any of the characters were interesting, with the exception of Ryoko who was interesting only by virtue of being so beautiful.

I just didn't think the actress who played the lead had what it takes to carry a show.

And the writing just wasn't good enough to make up for an indifferent performance.

This wasn't a show I disliked. It was just a show that I ended up not caring about.

Up to this point, I agree... None of the characters (save one Rolling eyes ) are particularly appealing, charismatic, or people you would root for...

So far.

Hmmm.......
Im feeling from you and Geezer's reaction that this maybe a chick flick. Or the fact that my own family has some similarities makes it more intriguing. My father always wandered the world and now my husband does. No, they arent gardeners!! Mr Green

But I really like the Eiji/Yuka combination. They have a nice thing going, very appealing. Yuka is a overblown but I felt the director had her play it that way. Ive come to count on seeing her contorted pouty face at least once an episode. It cracks me up. roflrofl Im only on ep 7 so I cant say how I will feel when things resolve.
Meanwhile on another front White Love Story is shaping up beautifully. This one might make the favorites list. In love
