I wasn't pushing. I consider Gokusen money in the bank.
GIGI
Just to give you some context... Tokiwa was an absolute favorite of mine before I saw Meguri Ai. Or should I say, before I saw most of Meguri Ai. I couldn't get through it.
Since then... to put it mildly, I haven't been interested in seeing anything she's in.
Which is kind of a drag, because I did have a crush on her. _________________

Fans are certainly fickle.
THough Geez you are missing alot if you havent seen Say I Love You
She is heartbreakingly beautiful in that.
And what a fabulous, deeply moving drama.
Also how come Fukuyama isnt being blamed for Refrain?
I know for a fact youre collecting dramas with him in it.

Fuku-who?
Oh yeah, the guy in Refrain. I remember.
Though to be honest, I had to grab my still to be watched stack of discs to see which show you were talking about.
Perfect Love. Which I traded for, not because he was in it, but because:
Yoshino Kimura is the star, and I'll trade for anything Yoshino is in.
Because Santamaria Yusuke is in it, and he makes me laugh.
Because Tetsuya Takeda is in it, and he's terrific.
Fukuyama? Fukuyama didn't figure in my thinking when I made the trade. he was, is, ... inconsequential. He's furniture.
I can't think of any show that was made either better or worse for having him in it.
Though as I look through his credits, I may have to go hunting for more of his stuff, because I see that he's done 2 different shows with Misa Shimizu. (Shimizu has been in; Dr. Akagi, The Eel, Shall we dance, Warm warter under a Red Bridge, The sea is watching.... Holy Moley does that girl have a great resume!!!) _________________

So he is an indirect and largely unnoticed success then.
