Watching Innocent Love with subtitles. Sheesh, the lead actor needed to take some lessons first.

I just finished The Way We Live

http://jdorama.com/drama.804.htm

It's simply a TV remake of the 1979 Dustin Hoffman film, Kramer Vs. Kramer

That said, it was done pretty well.

In the world of, It's good to be a pop star, the women in Kusanagi Tsuyoshi's life are Koyuki. Ryo! And the magicaly delicious Yamaguchi Sayaka.

Nope, but he's mainly a singer and has no big acting experience.

Kuitan 2 Ep.11 - finished!

It was a case of more of the same from the Kuitan and the rest of the gang from Holmes Agency - which is a good thing. I actually enjoyed this even more than the first series. 9/10

The exceptions and not the rule.

Also, have either of them done anything of note before or since? Head Scratch

I wonder if this is what Genma had in mind when he started adding YouTube videos. There's a video from Ring:Saishusho http://www.jdorama.com/drama.335.htm on the homepage, and just for the hell of it, I watched it. Just finished epi 1 and it looks pretty good. Yanagiba's at his jaw sucking best and a horror drama with Hitomi Kuroki AND Kyono Kotomi, how can I NOT watch it?!!? Thanks to whoever posted that video!! Applaud

Nothing i've seen, although they both have a reasonable list of credits.

I think it was a case of perfect casting for those 2 in that series. Something you can't always say about jdramas Grumble

I've just finished the first series of Jikou Keisatsu, and very good it was too. Hilarious in places, and it doesn't resort to either rampant overacting or stupid slapstick for laughs. The leads, Odagiri Joe and Aso Kumiko are both great, and have a real chemistry together. It must have been really difficult to sub, given the amount of puns and word play.

I'm also up to episode 7 of Haikei, Chichiue-sama. Ninomiya Kazunari is that rarest of beasts, a Johnny who can act, and he is excellent as the lead. Equally as good are Takashima Reiko who plays his mother, and Yachigusa Kaoru.

He was a co-star of Watanabe Ken in Letters From Iwo Jima, I believe.

Yachigusa Kaoru.

She played Otsu opposite Mifune Toshiro's Musashi in 1955's Miyamoto Musashi trilogy. Victory! Peace!
