I guess I'm in the minority on this one. I watched the special and thought, "Okay, the drama better be good because that was a complete waste of time." Got as far as about half-way thru epi 3, hadn't laughed once, stopped there, haven't gone back, and probably never will.

No, actually I think you're the majority. Other than Toshi-kun, and I believe Geez, most people didn't like it.

I think I'm really in the minority on Tiger and Dragon. From what I hear, most either love or hate it. I'm one of the in-betweens. I thought it was pretty good and funny but I wouldn't count it as a favorite.

Today watched:

Honjitsu mo Hare ep 5. This show is like the poor man's Dr. Koto but I actually kind of like it. It's just so...what's the word? Innocent? Simple? Peaceful? The small island life kind of reminds me of the villages in Italy, except you don't have to worry about your stuff getting stolen.

Love Shuffle ep 6. OMG, so good! Loved the big reveal at the end. Only leaves me speculating more. Querbeet had better speed up their subs

Mama Chari Deka ep3. Family detective show. No one gets killed. Everything is fun. I'm really in the mood for a show like this right now.

Just finished ep 1 of Seigi no Mikata.
So far it's a winner.
Great dialogue, nice sharp quality video, and lots of cuties...what's not to like I ask..
Most interesting to see the mother of Eri in Churasan playing of all things a mother. Very different character though. Interesting to see the contrast and find out she is multidimensional.

Now on the ep2. Lately I've had bad luck with second episodes so we'll see if this breaks the string. Sweat

It is very difficult to find a worthwile drama after the incredible masterpiece of Atsu Hime. At least for those of us who enjoy well costumed, scenic, great storied non bloodshed superb acted dramas that play for extended time periods. Applaud

It should, I liked this one a lot. The hardest part was getting used to Yamada Yu's character, but Mirai Shida is an amazing young talent. After seeing her in Queen's Classroom and 14 Sai no Haha I couldn't believe how effortlessly she transitioned to a comedy. Applaud

Akai Ito episode 1

It was effortless to watch, even though this type of drama is usually not for me. Minamisawa Nao was a little inexperienced but I felt there was something special about her...

Swan on Baka episode 1

This was really good. I wish Tanaka Misako and Miyama Karen had more screen time though. I would like to see more series like this.

That's funny. I started to watch the beginning again last night also. I ended up watching until 3am this morning. I can't believe how much better it is the second time. And today I watched for a while again. I may end up watching the entire taiga once more. I'm up to episode 6.
There is so much detail and complexity among the various clans that I finally began to comprehend some of it the second time. Not to mention the texture of the developement of the story by this amazing director. I have to keep reminding myself that this is actual Japanese history even if it is dramatized. Again I'm astounded at the inredible acting depths displayed by Aoi chan.
Victory! Peace!

Watched part 1 of the Dr. Koto Shinryojo SP...nicely done...interesting balance of life as usual on the island and a medical crisis...

First part was 1 and a half hour long....Second part is just over 2 hours...a perfect substitute for DH and B&S on a sunday night...

I was going to offer to send you Mop Girl, but I just checked your trade list and see you already have it.

T&G - I'm so intrigued about this drama that it seems people either love or hate. Big Grin

She's come a long way from her Sailor Moon days. It was nice following her career and seeing her grow as an actress.

They jumped back and forth in time... Sweat

I had too look up the drama at D-Addicts to figure out who the grown-up Yoroku and Kiheji were... Sweat

As usual, Abe Hiroshi's presence is dynamic and imposing. Victory! Peace!

Mama Chari Deka ep 8. Almost done. This show is pretty stupid and yet I love it. If only real life police matters were like this.
