I worked as hard as I could to stretch out Home Drama, because it was brilliant and I wanted it to last.
I just buzzed through Giragira in two sittings.
Not that the time was wasted. Sei Ashina looked fabulous through the whole series. And both Maho Nonami and Aki Nishihara had one episode guest shots as snotty patrons of our "Host" Club.
If your show is written by a backward 14 year old, it's always a good idea to have a couple of really fabulous looking ingenues come in an do a guest spot. It keeps the old guys watching.
Oh, I should also mention that I finished Koi No Chikara
A wonderful Romantic Comedy. It took me about 3 episodes to really get into it, but once the actors found their feet with those characters, the show just took off for me. _________________

But Yoshioka Hidetaka, who played older brother Jun, has compiled an acting resume that's just on a whole nother level. The guy has already won two Japan Academy awards for Best Actor for his work in the two Always films; he's also appeared in many other notable films since he was a little kid, including ones directed by Kurosawa Akira and Yamada Yoji; and to top it off, he was part of the ensemble cast of the Tora-san movies--the most prolific and successful film series in Japanese cinematic history. And he's not even 40 years old.

I am not surprised. He certainly started off with talent and experiencing great direction as a child. Im sure Kita Kuni must have made a deep impression.
Im taking a break from it though, Im on ep 17 too.
I needed something light. Still trying to get into Here Is Greenwood. On ep 4. Im thinking that perhaps it isnt just me being tired... THe story line lacks the cohesiveness of the anime.
Going for some really fluffy drama Im trying Yaoh. I mean how serious can a male host club be... _________________

ON ep 3 of Yaoh.
It is silly but still catchy. The main character's quest to maintain dignity and integrity in the Host business might be a bit trite but it works. Ive done 3 eps in a row. SO there must be something........ _________________

I stopped at episode two the main character's hairdo made me do it.
Atsu-Hime epi 7. Aoi-chan is so lovable. I don't think she's ever played a role I wasn't instantly attracted too!
And it's confirmed. I'm in love with Eita. It's such a gentle love, too, because it was subtle and sorta crept up. I mean, I spent an entire year insulting his ears, and yet now I'm so happy whenever he's on screen... _________________

And let's face it, you can't miss his ears with that samurai 'do
He does a fine job in Atsu-hime too. I think you're gonna love it.. and probably finish before me. I've got 10 eps to go, but i'm waiting until I finish Kita no kuni kara to watch them.
No, though he could have fitted in nicely
But to satisfy my Eita cravings ILll be watching Voice episode 6 tonight - Shida Mirai is gueststarring
Another Eita fan! >>high 5s<<

I'm taking my time with it. I try to put in two episodes a night. Tho all this Eita talk is making me want to watch more now. _________________

I first saw Eita in Tokyo Friends... Did not think much of him then. Since i'm so easily distracted by beauty and a great singing voice, Otsuka Ai captured most of my attention.
However, after 50 episodes of Atsu Hime, I have come to have tremenduous respect for this actor in the brilliant interpretation he gave of Naogoro. Although Miyazaki Aoi must get credit for making this such a super spectacular success, I doubt it would be as great without Eita.
And seeing his ability to switch roles so smoothly as he did in Minna Mukashi Kodomo wa Datta it is clear why he has such a long filmography.
Also, is it my imagination or is he paired consistenly with the most talented and beautiful idols of the Japanese A group? Hmmm. Ai chan, Aoi chan and the best of the group, Kuninaka Ryoko.

I liked it, too... Hard not to with Ryoko-chan in it.
Though some people blame her for "ruining it." (see reviews)
