Im guessing it must be.

OT: Starting Lunch No Joou after trying several series I just couldnt get into.
I always enjoy Takeuchi Yuko. _________________

Yup. Low brow, slap stick, ridiculously childish humor. And each episode is pretty much the same as the last.
This show delights in poking fun at all the cliches of TV detective fiction, and all the conventions of Japanese dramas.
Old and sour as I am I probably shouldn't find this show as funny as I do. But I've seen 6 episodes so far, and it makes me laugh every freakin' time. _________________ Manga is to Literature

I'm finding the linking of the chronological story with events in Japanese history to be quite fascinating... And Natsukawa Yui is her usual feisty, yet vulnerable self. |
I just hope we got it right It was very hard to work out what they were going on about sometimes

... I agree with everything you say and still found this drama and its 100% not taking itself seriously oddly refreshing enough that I'm actually looking forward to the second season.
On topic: just watched the first episode of the second season of Shomuni today. I think I might watch the second one while I'm at it. I'd missed those Shomuni girls and their wacky hijinks.

Cool another Shomuni fan!! All 3 Shomuni's were great, but I think Shomuni 2 is probably the best of the bunch, enjoy!

And another one here, I've been watching the first series irregularly during the last couple of months, it's just the sort of thing to cheer you up after a bad day at work. The interactions between Esumi Makiko and Toda Naho are great.
