I'm finding it really hard to sympathize with any of the characters. I mean, first I thought Tsukasa was very sweet and naive... and therefore endearing... but then she falls for a married man but is really selfish in the way its portrayed. And then, Yoshimoto is SO dashing and attractive, especially when he remains loyal to his morals... then suddenly HE'S in love, too?
And Shima-san is just gross. I dunno... I hope it gets better... or at least something is resolved. Right now everyone is just so selfish that I'm finding it hard to locate a redeeming quality.

Do a search.
I think he's an underrated actor... He had a small role in Seikei Bijin and was very good in Koi ni Ochitara, with (currently humiliated) SMAP guy, Kusanagi Tsuyoshi.
You could also try Erai Tokoro ni Totsuide Shimatta! http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1179.htm although it may just put you off him But it's worth watching for Matsuzaka Keiko and Hamada Mari.. and Yukie of course

There's 2 or 3 threads with this problem. Genma has been threatening to fix it but hasn't done so yet.

to be honest, i have seen (well fastforwarded the whole drama in an hour and then deleted) it. and i was kind of put off him but as that was in the middle of watching Love Shuffle, it was forgotten really fast and i was back on track. well, everyone has their ups and downs. ne? _________________

Other than Seikei Bijin, it's my only exposure to him. I found him particularly annoying in that but he didn't make much impression in Seikei Bijin.

Atashinchi no Danshi ep 4. Okay, this show is dumb but it is funny enough. I need to start a full series to watch but I can't decide what. All I've been watching is the currently airing shows. _________________

Hmm, I didn't see it as Tsukasa really being selfish, but basically being in love... And unfortunately with a married man.
LOL, the selfish one was Tsukasa's girlfriend, who was taking advantage of Tsukasa's naivete.
Considering the way that dirtbag Shima was treating her and how chivalrous and compassionate Yoshimoto was, it was bound to happen... Human nature, huh? Yeah, it's morally wrong, but I thought it was played out rather realistically...
Yup Handsome Suit is a pretty good. Kitagawa Keiko looks kinda funny when she smile though.
On Bara no nai Hanaya till ep 4. Been reading very good comments for this drama and decided to watch it. Takeuchi Yuko did quite well in it and Shaku Yumiko is an eye-candy. However the best is Yagi Yuki! Chirouru! _________________

It's definitely realistically played out, especially since it was a growth of feelings and not something spontaneous. I think the story is solid and the actors are great...
But I dunno. The plot isn't to my taste. People can fall in love with anyone... even married people. But it's our actions that make the difference. I guess it's the subject matter itself that is turning me off.

Yeah, I suppose it could be a turn off to some... Yet because the two are likable, you want to see them together despite the situation... Maybe that's the turn off for you, since it conflicts with the concept of marriage...

It's not so much the concept of marriage... but the fact that Tsukasa complete ignores the wife (who doesn't exist in the drama yet), and acts to satisfy her own self.
Of course, this might change when/if we DO meet the wife, but right now I find her really selfish, and Yoshimoto as well.

You should finish the drama... And maybe we should continue in the TEG thread...
