Dr. Koto's Clinic. Episode 1

I had wondered what happened to the boy, Jun, from Kita Kuni No Kara.

He is now an island Doctor.

He has a very special quality to him. And Shibasaki Kou is her usual cold and warm, and lovely self.

I can tell Im going to enjoy this series.

I do love the island/rural dramas. Victory! Peace!

Eve,

Yoshioka Hidetaka (The kid from Kita Kuni No Kara) has mostly spent his time making movies. And he's been wildly successful.

He became part of the stock company in the "Tora-san" movies and did one a year from 1981 until 1995.

He's also been in some of my other favorites like "Always Sunset on third street" (and its sequel) and he was in both "Gakko II and III". His movie credits go on for days.

And most impressively... he was married to Yuki Uchida for a while. For that alone you have to give the guy mad props.

He's had quite a career since doing that "little" family show.

In the last two weeks I've watched Departures, Shiroi Haru, and Kaze no Garden. Kind of a "Depression Tri-fecta".

Dunno what to watch next. The only pre-requisite is NOBODY dies!!

You should try Dr Koto then hehe He saves everyone! Victory! Peace!

Think Im going to check out Happily Ever After tonight or Dr Koto's Clinic.

@Geezer- I am not in the least surprised that an actor that subtle as a child should be so successful. And there is a special sweetness in his smile......

I have seen Dr. Koto and the sequel. They were pretty good, but you did touch on the one thing that kind of bothered me:

Im not a fan of hers either but I have enjoyed a few series she was in despite that. Bleah Wink

Done with Happily Ever After. Offbeat certainly and a different type role for Abe Hiroshi.

Now an ep of Suika I think.

This was a charming drama! He's the reason I was so into it, although, like you and Musa, I was annoyed with the incredibility of some of the scenarios.

On Topic: Completed Around 40. It ended up being better than I thought it would be.
