Anime Dad

I think I'm safe in saying... there isn't going to be any "plot development" in "Jikou Keisatsu" in the rest of season one, or even in season two. It'll just be nuts. Which is pretty much why I loved it.

It ain't about the mysteries. It's all about that group of goofballs in the squad room, and the strange world they live in. (And some spiffy guest murderers.)

Right now I'm speeding through Saru Lock.

http://jdorama.com/drama.1438.htm

Half hour episodes. Wacky for wacky's sake. Think " The Monkeys" without the music.

Everybody runs around and shouts a lot. The guys are very very horny, but have no luck with women. The group fights a bit of crime. It's all pretty much aimed at the 12 to 15 year old crowd.

I'm watching because Ashina Sei is part of the core group, and... well... I think she's hot.

You got that right Geez.
Re. the "special guests" - it's frustrating me because I do recognise some of their faces but can't pin them down.
But i'm loving it too. Nobody does comedy like the Japanese Big Grin

Anime Dad,

Well, you'll certainly know both the victim and the suspect in episode 8.

Hmmm. I think Nagasaku Hiromi played the "Great TV Detective" in #4? Jeez, I should look this stuff up before I type anything.

And Idewaki Chizuru was the swimming coach in the first or second one.

d-addicts probably has a list.

JIN, Episodes 4-6. Victory! Peace!

All three episodes were really good: less melodrama, less crying, more real drama... Is it a coincidence that Nakatani Miki became more integrated into the story at the same time? Mr Green

There is a scene in episode 7 where Joe is playing with that kid with the afro hairstyle's hair. For some reason, that always cracks me up. rofl

I dunno, it really doesn't have anything to do with the plot. I just remember when I was watching it thinking "What the hell is he doing with that kids' hair?" And it just cracked me up. hehe

Episodes 7 and 8 of JIN completed... Two more good episodes. Victory! Peace!

One thing, though:

EDIT2: Uchino Masaaki pretty much steals the show every time he appears... He's doing a very good imitation of Mifune Toshiro's roguish characters in Seven Samurai and Yojimbo... Applaud

Started Fumo Chitai.

Had a bad start, kept rolling my eyes for the first hour (I hate war pathos and over-the-top noble protagonists) and the silly voice over annoyed me to hell. But then Japans most famous eye bags ->Kishibe Ittoku, plus Amami Yukie and Takenouchi Yukata appeared and things got interesting. Victory! Peace! I will continue watching!

Finished JIN tonight... Good show.

Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:

Fine performances from the entire cast... Maybe a bit too much weeping, but it wasn't pathetic like in that other movie I keep bagging on. Wink

Overall, I'd give the drama and 8.5/10.
