Anime Dad
I think I'm safe in saying... there isn't going to be any "plot development" in "Jikou Keisatsu" in the rest of season one, or even in season two. It'll just be nuts. Which is pretty much why I loved it.
It ain't about the mysteries. It's all about that group of goofballs in the squad room, and the strange world they live in. (And some spiffy guest murderers.)
Half hour episodes. Wacky for wacky's sake. Think " The Monkeys" without the music.
Everybody runs around and shouts a lot. The guys are very very horny, but have no luck with women. The group fights a bit of crime. It's all pretty much aimed at the 12 to 15 year old crowd.
I'm watching because Ashina Sei is part of the core group, and... well... I think she's hot. _________________

You got that right Geez.
Re. the "special guests" - it's frustrating me because I do recognise some of their faces but can't pin them down.
But i'm loving it too. Nobody does comedy like the Japanese

You're right with those comments Just finished episode 7, yes no plot but it doesn't need one! Will jump right into season 2, but also watching Last Friends, up to episode 5 and am about to watch episodes 5 and 6 of Liar Game 2, whew. _________________

Anime Dad,
Well, you'll certainly know both the victim and the suspect in episode 8.
Hmmm. I think Nagasaku Hiromi played the "Great TV Detective" in #4? Jeez, I should look this stuff up before I type anything.
And Idewaki Chizuru was the swimming coach in the first or second one.
d-addicts probably has a list.
Yeah, they do have a list. It was Yoshitaka Yuriko I saw last night. Couldn't remember her name, weird since I only recently finished Ashita no Kita Yoshio She's so cute
All three episodes were really good: less melodrama, less crying, more real drama... Is it a coincidence that Nakatani Miki became more integrated into the story at the same time?

Something to look forward to
I dunno, it really doesn't have anything to do with the plot. I just remember when I was watching it thinking "What the hell is he doing with that kids' hair?" And it just cracked me up.
Episodes 7 and 8 of JIN completed... Two more good episodes.
One thing, though:
Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:
In Episode 7, Ogata-sensei was stricken with Consumption (Tuberculosis), why didn't they use the Penicillin on him?
EDIT: According to Wiki, Penicillin is ineffective against TB... Maybe that should've been mentioned in the story... I'm sure other people might've wondered about using the Penicillin as well...
EDIT2: Uchino Masaaki pretty much steals the show every time he appears... He's doing a very good imitation of Mifune Toshiro's roguish characters in Seven Samurai and Yojimbo...

Started Fumo Chitai.
Had a bad start, kept rolling my eyes for the first hour (I hate war pathos and over-the-top noble protagonists) and the silly voice over annoyed me to hell. But then Japans most famous eye bags ->Kishibe Ittoku, plus Amami Yukie and Takenouchi Yukata appeared and things got interesting. I will continue watching!
Though I was rather disappointed that the ending wasn't really an ending at all: clearly it was a cliffhanger for a sequel, movie, etc... In that way, I felt a little cheated.
Fine performances from the entire cast... Maybe a bit too much weeping, but it wasn't pathetic like in that other movie I keep bagging on.
