Lol. You should check out 14 sai no haha and Gokusen 3, I'm sure that will make you reconsider your position.

Currently watching Sunao ni Narenakute, Tumbling and Yankee-kun to Megane-chan. Sunao is turning out to be a rehash of Asunaro Hakusho, but Yankee's alright. My only beef with it is that Narimiya Hiroki's too old to keep playing a high school kid (we've already seen him do that in Gokusen and Kou Kou Kyoushi). But since the dramas nowadays are pretty disappointing, I guess I'll take whatever I can get.

Oh, and for a sports drama, I think Tumbling's quite decent. My all time fave is still H2 but imho Tumbling's still way better than Rookies or Waterboys.

And I see wacko lady at d-addicts is at it again. Nut I hope the rubber band on the plane is wound tight enough so it will make it across the Pacific...
Let's hope Eita doesn't do another drama for a long time..... Fingers crossed

But he's a good actor! Don't let a few fans get in the way of appreciating his acting. I'd rather see Eita with more projects and certain actors with less.

But you may be right about him getting fewer projects in the future Sad Some are speculating that his marriage to Kimura Kaela could jeopardize his popularity and he'll lose a lot of his fanbase/pulling power. I think this is just silly. Japan, learn to appreciate marriage please! This is why you're country is in a population crisis!!! Bang Head

I was just kidding. There's a nut case at D-Addicts who is an Eita freak calling him a "legend" and basically driving everyone crazy. I don't want another Eita drama so we won't have to listen to her crap...... Beaten

Finished up Maou, can go on record saying that was one of the best I've seen, probably moved into my top 5. Victory! Peace! So suspensful and intriguing, was on the edge of my seat for most of it, they did the story in a way that made it believeable, I have to highly recommend this to anyone, Applaud Tiny recommended it to me, now I need another like that. Fingers crossed In the meantime rewatching Code Blue II, much better the 2nd time thru, lot of fast paced action that's easy to miss the first go around. Nut

Heh heh. I'll get back to you on that one, deal? Wink (But even if I find Miura Haruma's performances here not up to snuff, I can always drool over how purrrty he looks, so it's really win-win for me Naughty)

Now nowc letfs not be limiting Kichise Michikofs ( http://www.jdorama.com/artiste.2541.htm ) appeal just to adolescent boys. I passed through adolescence around the time Columbus set sail for Indiac but it was Michiko that got me through Bloody Monday. Not to mention Bloody Monday 2.

And heck, right now Ifm collecting Hagane no Onna

http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Hagane_no_Onna

where Michikofs the star, playing an Elementary School Teacher.

Man, I hate actresses who make wise career choices after they have big hits. Michiko plays the wicked, mondo hot assassin, in BM and right away signs on to play an Elementary School Teacher.

Kim So Yun plays the evil (with a heart of gold), mondo hot, N.Korean Agent in IRIS and right away signs on to play the ditzy/boopsie lead in Prosecutor Princess.

Arrrgh! The two greatest Femme Fatales of their generationc and they both want to ruin it all just for the sake of prolonging their careers.

Some girls are so selfish.

rofl I guess, um, the moral of the story is that there will always be a hormonal teenage fangirl/boy in all of us... fair enough? Victory! Peace!

Oh, speaking of KSY, she played one meaty biy@@@@tch in ALL ABOUT EVE, where she stole the thunder from the lead, Chae Rim. Check it out if you want to see her breakout Femme Fatale role. Applaud

Watched the first 3 eps of ROOKIES. Seems like a cliche drama with a few pretty boys (and a lot of not-so pretty boys) but I'll watch it to the end anyway.

One thing about this drama that makes me laugh is the gay guy in Sunao ni Narenakute. Every time he's on screen, I have to shout "Linda!!" Bleah

Chase episodes 1 and 2, so far so different, unusual topic (tax fraud and more) and production style for a drama.

2 minuses:
- Arata's haircut (and his second world war "chic") was inspired by Hitler.Shameful Cry Sweat
- no subs available I believe.

Have Ryusei all set to watch, 2nd or 3rd in line right now. Applaud
Finished the rewatch of Code Blue II, liked it much better this time thru. Victory! Peace! Not as much flying this time around, allowed the characters roles to expand a bit more which helped, can understand why it was popular, it was a very good drama. Dancing Up next is Koshonin. Fingers crossed

Uhm, I don't think Linda (as played by Tamayama Tetsuji) is in ROOKIES. Are you by chance referring to Kiritani Kenta? You might have confused the two because whoever styled them had the same concept -- gelled long hair and moustache. Ick. hehe

You're right though about ROOKIES being a cliche. Never really got the hang of Kawato repeatedly egging the kids on with that "flourish in your dreams" slogan. Plus, it was unnerving to see grown, burly men cry like babies. But I stuck thru it till the end and even got to help with fansubbing the movie (where the boys just happen to cry a little harder Doh!). I just wish it featured more baseball...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! You just killed me with this paragraph!! Sad They look like twins with the greasy hair and creepy mustache. I don't care; I'm still calling ROOKIES guy "Linda" because both of them creep me out. Bleah

I don't think this series is an absolutely great one, but it still makes me want to watch it for some reason. On episode 9 now.
