I'm one and a half episodes into Tsuki no Koibito - http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Tsuki_no_Koibito - and I'm wondering; Was it meant to be this boring? I mean, like a mystery has its surprise ending, and a comedy gets a punch line. Is this thing starting off like a wet clam on purpose... just to suck the audience in for that moment when it suddenly becomes worth watching?
Okay, so the critics in three countries said it stank, and the audience abandoned it in droves.
Oh jeez... could the critics be right? I hate it when I agree with the critics.
Oh well. I have a full bottle of Pepto in the fridge. I guess I can force myself to sit down and watch the rest of episode 2. _________________

Sounds like another prime example of a drama with high ratings and an awful story.

You talkin' to me? I don't have his posters (or any evidence thereof) in my room, just in my blog.

LOL. You're watching it too! Oh joy!!! I feel so much better now.
And I doubt the writer & director of TSUKI NO KOIBITO meant for the drama to be sucky on purpose and then get incrementally better. The whole ride has been this mental and emotional flatliner for me.
Actually, it's KimuTaku/Rensuke whom I hate the most, not Lin Chi Ling. (I don't even hate her character. How can I hate a three-year-old? ) Whereas Rensuke is just so gross and sleazy and growly and rockstar!rebel!ruthless! and did I say GROSS? Hatessss!!!!!!!!!!!!

But not high enough for KimuTaku Dorama Standards. I'd be surprised if this drama averaged 20% (which it didn't). It's indescribably bad.

Just finished watching:
1. Densha Otoko – really excellent. Touching and charming romantic drama. In my top 3 dramas of all time!
2. Hanazakari no Kimitachi e – heard so much about this Jdorama, and finally picked it up. On episode 3 and getting betterc
3. Mother – just finished last night and it was it was a well made serious drama unlike most Jdorama that are serious. Different but good.
4. Magerarenai Onna – watched episode 1, not bad but a bit slow.
5. Angel Bank – on episode 8, but stopped and picked up Densha Otoko. Will try and finish this one.

Sorry Ender's, I really did mean to share your pain, and I did go back and start watching ep 2 of "Tsuki no Koibito" where I'd left off yesterday.
But as if in a daze I got up three quarters the way through and felt this sudden urge to wash my dishes. And I don't know how it happened, but somehow the disc I'd burned "Tsuki no Koibito" to popped out of the DVD player, flew from the living room into the kitchen, and tragically slipped down the garbage disposal.
I don't think it will play now, what with it being in 47 oddly shaped pieces. And sadly, there's no way to ever replace it.
Maybe it's time for a little "Tora-san". _________________

First episode is indeed slow but I can tell you that it gets better.
Currently watching Mioka... don't know why though. Half of the time I just kept wishing that the disease would strike so that she'd die already. Also following Atami no Sousakan. It's weird, funny and can't wait to see them solve the mystery. _________________

Finally back to watching Jdrama after long break.
Thinking of starting from Shinzanmono since I'm a huge Abe Hiroshi fan. Not sure about after that, thinking of watching some romantic dramas like 1 litre of tears (I know, I suppose everyone have watched this, but somehow I haven't yet lol) or Koizora (having a bit doubt because of main character with blondy hair turns me off a bit lol).
