Recently finished watching Gold ( disappointed ) , Shinzanmono (ok but Abe HIroshi's done better dramas) and Second Virgin (good but not great) enjoyed Suzuki Kyoka's perfomance and was reasonably pleased with Fukada Kyoko in a secondary but serious role, as I've only seen her recentley in comedic dramas, I wasn't expecting much. Currently watching Yume No California..looks a little dark and interesting.

Interestingly, I was looking at the ratings for Second Virgin and for whatever reason it went from piss-poor ratings early on to pretty descent ratings for the last 2 episodes. _________________

BOSS episode 9.....my 3rd time watching this drama...Amami Yuki really rocks and I couldn't help comparing Takeno's character here and his Kengo in Nagarebohi....totally different....which means he's really a talented actor
No complaints... really. It's just that I keep forgetting that I'm watching it, and forget to put it on when I go to watch TV.
I liked the first one, and I still like the characters... but it's like they have nothing new to bring to the party... so I kind of feel like I'm watching reruns. _________________

^^ Know about those kind of rolls, once you really get into that nice groove you can't see enough of them.
Finished up Majo Saiban again, keeps getting better and better with each viewing, Toma is quite a good actor plus Ai Kato is so underrated. Been wanting to watch Hitotsu yone no Shita, taking forever to download, think a rewatch of Oishii Proposal could be up next, been too long since I've watched a Kyoko drama. _________________

Finished watching Koishite Shinitai/To Heart the other day and finished Code Blue 2 today. After you get past the first two episodes of To Heart, it's a pretty good drama. I've seen better from Fukada Kyoko but it's still pretty good. Code Blue 2 I think is just as good as season 1. It's a bit darker than season 1, especially early on. Both seasons of Code Blue I think are pretty good. _________________

I enjoyed Koishite Shinitai/To heart was one of the first dramas I watched , odd thing was that I found it a little difficult to beleive in the relationship between Tsuyoshi and Hara Sachie, when he seems to fit better with Fukukyon ..I suppose its because Hara Sachie is so tall. Tsuyoshi fits best with Ryoko Kuninaka , in the same way (I feel) that Kimutaku works best with Matsu Takako.
Just finished Yume No California ...pretty grim and realistic , not a drama for most people who like romantic or happy storylines but great perfomances from Tsuyoshi, Ryoko Kuninaka and Shibasaki Kou. I'm glad the produces didn't cop out with the ending; thoroughly enjoyable for me. Started watching Zettai Reido.
Am new to J-Drama Just finished watching kimi-ni-shika-kikoenai and i loved it. Started 2 days ago with 1 litre of tears, which i have to watch slowly as it`s very emotional and right now i have a situation which i cant be over emotional ... so it has to be few episodes at a time but i love it too much

SPEC final episode - nice take on the x-men theme!
Most mysteries were resolved in this last episode but a few elements left me puzzled - I have struggled a little watching this without subs - more than usual, so some was perhaps explained without me getting it:
Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:
What/who were the fast moving shadows who helped Shirota's character, what happened to the doctor and specs that were taken away, is Sebumi's teeth-throwing skill a spec, who's the mystery guy in kimono with the two girls who is shot by Shirota/Shiina, lastly what was in the snow that knocked out Ninomae.
And one last mystery - no spoiler tag needed - does Shirota Yuu have a forehead, I had the impression during this drama that his hairline just starts above his eyebrows.

I'm still working on "Hotaru no Kikari 2.
Six episodes in (with a bit of fast forwarding) and the oddest thing occured to me while watching this morning.
I think Ayase Haruka is doing an impression of Nakama Yukie's character from the "Gokusen" series.
I don't know if she's doing it consciously, or if that's just what happens when you bring that style of manga to life. And she certainly isn't beating hordes of bad guys to a pulp at the end of every episode.
But the movement, the tone of voice, the attitude... it all just screams Gokusen to me. _________________

i love the story line and am currently on episode 5!! i ove the anime is opening and when ever there is a flash back it goes into the anime style very cool!

-Those shadows were other SPEC, members of Shirota's army of SPECs I guess.
-I think they were killed...? Not sure though.
-I don't think his teeth-throwing is a X-men power... Just a pissed-off Sebumi one LOL! (maybe he learned it during his special forces training XD)
-I have no clue. D: He seemed like some kind of boss SPEC? Not sure though, I need to watch it again.
-The police put poison in the snow. It's a poison that is actually toxic to everybody, not just SPECs, but because Ninomae was using his speeding-through-time power, he was exposed to it the longest and caused him the most damage.
According to Toma at the very end, there won't be a movie... but somehow I get the impression that the story is completely over yet. XD Pretty original idea for a Jdrama. I like!

Thanks for the clarifications!
One can always hope for a second season, SP or movie but ratings were not that great, which on the other hand is normal given the topic and the whack characters.
