Koori no Sekai, episode 9, sort of dragged in the middle, especially episode 8 but picked up a bit. There's 11 total episodes, think they only had enough script for about 9 and are stretching it out, theme song/credits go for 4 1/2 minutes then 3 minutes of important things from the previous episode, 46 minute episode turns into a 39 minute one, you can just FF to the 7 minute mark. _________________

Mark
I have a long standing love / hate relationship going with Asadoras.
I'm usually a big fan, for the first half of the series or so... then I turn on it, come to hate all the characters and wish them harm. Then I stop watching for a wile, come back toward the end, and end up loving it all over again.
Probably because of the way they used to show them up here. Two episodes stuck together as one 30 minute episode, to fill up one hour of TV time... once a week.
It always took more than a year to get through your average Asadora that way.
They stopped showing them on TV here, so I tried downloading "Tsubasa" but the guys subbing it bailed after 40 some odd episodes and that put the frustration level through the roof. So I stopped paying attention to them.
But I do like Nao...
Thanks for the tip. I'll look around and see if I can find some of it. _________________

I started to rewatch Unfair - lately, whenever I watched newer Japanese mysteries, I kept on thinking (and writing in reviews) that Unfair, which I watched in 2007, was still far better.
Happy to report that it's still unique despite a few problematic plot holes (and a Destiny's Child song).
I think I will also rewatch Gonzo - I remember it as an outstanding cop show.

I finished Control, and I enjoyed it. A nice little Detective show with a bunch of solid actors.
No new ground broken here, but then, I wasn't looking for anything outside the box. Matsushita Nao was the draw for me, and the cherry on top was getting to see Sato Jiro in a supporting role as the head of the forensic department. (I just think the guy is funny.)
On the Nao front, I've started collecting the beginning of Gegege no Nyobo. No telling when I'll have enough to start watching.
In the mean time, I have the first 10 episodes of Gou

Now, now. Have a little faith in your girl.
Besides... I may not be smitten with Juri, but this cast is chock-a-block with favorites of mine. Suzuki Honami, Otake Shinoby, Suzuki Sawa, Mizukawa Asami... that's a lot of fire power.
But I won't mouth off, good or ill, until I'm at least half way through the series. Taigas need time to breath. _________________

I do have faith in my gal... I'm hoping others will as well.

so I guess that's enough to make a start. Fingers crossed.
I do agree with Control, nothing extraordinary about this J-drama, it is ok, but I was drawn in by Nao and was curious to see how she acted. I was impressed, but I would like to know how she is in her other drama, Gegege no Nyobo...
let me know how that one goes and if it is available to watch on youtube, or elsewhere. Thanks.
I am currently watching Hammer Session, and Smile Mom(k-drama on tv).
