It's a bit formulaic, like Galileo was, but Higashiyama's character makes it interesting.

My niece and sister-in-law likens the drama to the TV series House, M.D..

Agreed, Higashiyama's comedic timing is spot-on. Smile

Yup.

Though I think he was much better in the Kuitan series... Maybe because of the food. Beaten

Doing a rewatch of Wedding Planner, no real reason except it's among my faves. Victory! Peace!

Misaki Number One!!

http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1574.htm

Okay, maybe it didn't have the depth and sophistication of Gokusen, but Karina looked great in those short skirts, and you just have to admire how well she runs in high heels. I mean, she's right up there with Kano Miho in terms of high heel sprinting on camera. (I'd still put my money on Miho in the 100, but Karina gets style points)

The show was what I expected. Karina gets dolled up and plays a fish out of water School Teacher taking over a class of losers and misfits... and she wins their hearts.

Next!

I didnt like Minami no Koibito as much as i thought I would - maybe i've outgrown these genre...

Anyway, gonna start watching more jdoramas (its the endless cycle of kdrama, then anime, then games, rofl )

I've got these queued up, hope they're entertaining... Fingers crossed
- Gold
- Urakara
- Misaki Number 1
- Shiawase ni Narouyo (but seeing most of the files are 2GB each, i'll probably wait on the 720p version)

I'm through 3 episodes of Mop Girl and 6 episodes of Rookie. Mop Girl is pretty funny. Rookie is just ok.

Mop Girl is OK, but I thought Kitagawa's character was a bit irritating at times.

Tanihara Shosuke steals the show, IMO. Victory! Peace!

^^ It was great for about the first 6 episodes then seemed to drag a bit, got a little tiring after a while bleh but still good, good enough where I've watched it twice.
Episode 9 of Wedding Planner, nothing much to say about it, one of the more underrated dramas. Victory! Peace!
Coming up next is Toubousha, can't believe I haven't seen it yet, never mind that had never heard about it until 2 days ago, how can I have missed a Abe drama like that, Beat You got it all lined up and ready to go. Mr Green

I was having dinner tonight and needed to put something on tv. So I picked Orange Days then proceeded to watch 6 episodes straight. Very surprised. Much better than I remembered, not that I didn't think it was good before, but it didn't leave a very deep and lasting impression on me when I watched it probably 3 years ago. Time flew by, the writing was great, the performances excellent. They don't make drama like this anymore.

You have your laughs watching it, but you can quickly move on.
There's a movie you can look forward to. Mr Green

hehe
I did notice there was a Movie coming up with Masami Nagasawa in it, which is why I started the TV series.
Of the eps I've watched, Ep1 and Ep2 I think are the best so far.
