Finished Galileo. Not as good as I thought it would be, but it was still ok. Overall it was quite formulaic and episodic, which is the norm for most cop/mystery dramas. However, there wasn't a lot of compelling stories in these episodes. A couple of them I didn't like such as episode 5, which I felt was too preachy, and episode 7, which had some faulty writing. However, I did find it interesting how Fukuyama Masaharu's character solved the cases using science, and felt that he was pretty good in this drama. Shibasaki Kou was ok, but I don't think the roll she had suits her. I did like Maya Miki in this drama as well. Overall I give it 7/10. _________________

If you liked Sorimachi in that check out Dream Again, another baseball drama with him, he was okay(for him) in that one too, no Kyoko but Ai Kato is quite good in that one.
Don't forget Mirai Shida in Dream Again, good as usual!
Even though the ending felt tacked on, I liked Dream Again better than Wonderful Life. (Or as I called it, "Bad News Jaguars")

That's the only regular drama I've seen her in but she seems to be well respected for such a young age, just turned 18 a few months back. Just saw her though in the mini drama from last year Sotsu Uta, she was quite good in that, really funny and quirky.
Dream Again was better overall mainly because WL had a few too many tear jerking episodes, Sorimachi is actually an okay watch like in these 2 dramas when he keeps it toned down a bit, his hot headeness has driven too many of his series way down. _________________

That first one I've been debating about, looks good but is it also a bit sad? Actually the movie that I want to check out with her is Nobody to Watch Over Me, plan on watching that before the month is out. _________________

Seigi no Mikata is pretty funny. It does get a little repetitive, "Big sister takes advantage of little sister", but I really liked it.

Thanks for the suggestion, I've already watched and liked that one!
(though I liked it a bit less, maybe because they feature the real Kyojin and that's like kryptonite to a torakichi, hehehe... )

I second gaijinmark's opinion, I also found Seigi no Mikata quite funny (and honestly I don't remember sad parts...Yamada Yu also was brilliant in it)
p.s.
Another dorama with Shida Mirai that should be good is Jyoou no Kyoushitsu, but I'm afraid that's quite dark, or so it appeared from the first minutes (stashed in in the "gonna-watch-soon" pile after that... )

Was also thinking that Himitsu may be the first drama of hers to try. Have read the book, English title is called Naoko, book is about a foot from me right now, think I'm gonna read it again and give that drama a try. Also Sasaki is in it, right behind Abe he's my favorite actor so that's a big reason I'd like to watch it too. Jyoou is another that I've had my eye on for a loooong time and never seem to get around to viewing it. _________________

Finished watching the 1st season of Liar Game, being quite a sucker for logic and riddles I pretty much liked it...I was gonna give it 8/10 but then I think they kinda screwed it a bit towards the end...
Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:
I mean, I liked a lot the way it ended and the morale of the story, but I found the last episode uselessly long (2 1/2 hours, half of it being just a recap of what had happened that far) and with too many betrayals/schemes/twists&turns - besides, I'm not an advocate for violence, but I don't get it why nobody ever felt like kicking Fukunaga or Yokoya in the balls, dammit
Anyway, I liked Toda & Matsuda, while the supporting cast was imho so and so...

Finished watching also the 2nd season of Liar Game, this one as well starts good (I'd even say very good) but then imho gets lost a bit in the second half.
It's still entertaining imho, but like the 1st season, I can't help thinking it could've been better...
