At the same time I think I'll start Dare Yori mo Mama wo Aisu. Not for any particular reason except it was next in my binder of dramas. I don't know much about it but seems fun.
I thought that drama was okay, but like just about every J-Drama I've seen, it stereotypically portrays a gay man as being overtly flamboyant and effeminate...
Saw the first couple of eps of Ghost Mama Sousasen. So far it's been alright, but I kinda can see were it's going. Also, Shida Mirai seems to be too old for her character.

He reminds me of a friend of mine.
I'm on Episode 5 now of Dare Yori.... It's okay. _________________

Episode 4 of "Beautiful Rain". Plot moved along some, Kenta the policeman has a mad crush on Nakatani. But give it up, Kenta. If Nakatani divorces her husband (that's one of the subplots) you've got about as much chance with her and Arnold Schwarzenegger has being "Husband of the Year".
Excellent drama from NHK. One of the better ones I've watched this year. Great performances from the three leads (Kimura Yoshino, Ihara Tsuyoshi, Aoki Munetaka).
Well worth watching IMHO.

Finished Hatsukoi.
Hmmm, looks interesting. Plus it's got Ema Fujisawa who was in the asadora "Tenka"(one of the better asadoras nobody ever talks about) six or seven years ago and then pretty much dropped off the map.

Rich Man, Poor Woman episode 1
Looks promising. Actually a serious drama about Japan's current and future working class (maybe?), but it wasn't hard to watch or dry at all. Quite a few hints for future subplots already, feels like there will be quite a bit to look forward to.
Up to episode 9 of Mou Ichido Kimi ni, Propose. It's quietly moving along, though nothing in particular about it make any deep or long lasting impression...

Iki mo Dekinai Natsu episode 1
This is my first time watching Takei Emi and I finally understand the hype about her. She is really good in this, I have no problem believing she can hold her own against any of the more experienced actors. As for the episode itself, I felt the writing was trying a bit too hard, being too deliberate in creating angst and unrest. It was hard to continue watching at times. Hopefully it will improve, and I am looking forward to the relationship/connection between the two leads developing.

I was drawing a blank with that name so had to look her up. Turns out there are three dramas I've seen her in: "Gold", "Otomen", and "Taira no Kiyomori".
What amazes me is her ability to pick crap dramas!

Kinda don't like, but don't mind Takei Emi chan. Saw her in W no Higeki lately, and although the drama sucked, she did kinda alright without being extra special like Ueno Juri or Mitsushima Hikari for example...

Rich Man, Poor Woman epsiode 2-4
Enjoyable, light romance actually. Very easy to watch. The part about workplace dynamics and working itself is not bad, a lot of dramas failed to persuade when it came to work. Looking forward to find out more about what happened between Hyuga and the girls in the past.
....waited soooooo long for the second sequel of Always.Sunset.on.Third.Street.......and after the long wait, I had already forgotten the first sequel......
should have made this a series......
Does anyone know why Tsutsumi Shinichi doesn't do dramas anymore?

O good! I'll get my sis on getting this one. I've been wanting more of Satomi-chan lately.
Meanwhile, I've been watching Ai to iu na no Moto ni. I think I'm on episode 7 now. It's okay. It's an older drama, so I thought I would get into it right away, but I think the larger number of "main" characters is making it difficult for me to attach myself to anyone just yet. _________________

Iki mo Dekinai Natsu episode 2-4
I wouldn't recommend this one, it felt slow and drawn out, but I think Takei Emi does offer something fresh and different compared with other young actresses. I guess the same thing could be said about most young actresses though... so part of the reason I like her may be her model look. The romance between the two main characters is yet to start. Even though their scenes when they were together have been underwhelming so far, they were the ones I looked forward to the most.
Ghost Mama Sousasen episode 1
This was fun. A bit like the movie Ghost but with a family and police work. Just the right mix in my opinion, definitely following this series.
