Are they airing this in New York, or did you obtain this from someone? There is someone here (yt) who would like a copy, and if possible I would upload them to d-addicts. But I think there's many episodes, right?

Hi dochira,
They just started airing Churasan in the NY tri-state area today Sunday Oct 16th. It is being broadcast by Entel-TV on the WNYE station every Sunday at 2-3PM EST. Yes there are many episodes. This series will be on every Sunday for a year.

"Churasan"? Long?

What's 156 15 minute episodes?

Not to mention the 6 full hour episodes of "Churasan 2" and the 5 full hour episodes of "Churasan 3".

Actually, I did enjoy Churasan most of the way. It's just that, like most NHK morning dramas... it wore me out.

The role Miho Kanno played in Churasan is still one of my all time favorite characters in Japanese TV. I always hoped they'd let her do a series based on that character.

Interesting. It's too bad I am not out there recording the series as it's being aired. I know that there would be people out there who would want a copy. (I was too lazy to record it in its entirety the first time it aired out here. I have episodes scattered here and there.)

Sorry All!!!! Sweat Every Sunday afternoon they are showing 3 back-to back 15 minute episodes of Churasan in the NY tr-state area. That is why it will be on for a year. This is not being aired by an Asian channel. In fact when Entel-TV finished the year long "Sakura" series they stopped airing jdoramas. We all called and e-mailed to request another series and after a few months, due to our requests, they started "Churasan." Sorry I do not have a DVD recorder otherwise I would record it for all of you and your friends. Shameful Cry

Don't weep Enna.

Trying to record all of an NHK Morning Drama is a marathon I wouldn't wish on anyone.

By the way... it sounds like your station bought the same package they showed here in the Bay Area. 3 15 minute episodes stitched together, once a week... forever.

Yutaka Takenouchi and Ryoko Hirosue are good together.
