really? that's crazy....what a peculiar addition to any collection...that's definitely a conversation piece.

yeah man tiger & dragon....it has many of the same actors in kisarazu and Ikebukuro West Gate Park...the two other shows written by the same creator as Tiger & Dragon.

it's hilarious.

the film work, and how they did that reversing in the drama is something else, i think it explains a lot and is kinda funny, and cool at the same time. ok, i do hope there are good seeds to these other ones you are talking about....lol I know Sars was taking on IWGP, desho?

done ep 3, seems like a pretty typical ER type dorama - feels a bit like a mix of Midnight Rain and Kyumei Byoto Ji 2

I just finished watching Sengoku Jieitai

http://jdorama.com/drama.1006.htm

A 2 part Special from NTV.

Not to put too fine a point on it, this might have been one of the worst TV movies I've ever seen.

And now I've seen it twice!

I saw it, and hated it, the first time around when it was done as an episode of the 1960s U.S. TV series, Twilight Zone (episode name:The 7th Is Made Up of Phantoms). National Guardsmen from the 1960s, out on maneuvers, find themselves mysteriously transported back in time, and get themselves involved with Custer at the Battle of the Little Big Horn.

In Sengoku Jieitai members of the defense force are mysteriously transported back in time and get themselves involved with Tokugawa and the final battle with the Toyotomi.

The American version was better simply because it was shorter.

Sengoku Jieitai is about the worst written, and poorly thought out Special I've ever seen.

Big time cast. But a big time waste of time.
