Haiiiiii, exactly what B-san and I were just chatting about! It's all about physical appearance... even tho I don't see how he'd get votes for that, too... Sweat

Pretty-boy + fangirls = unbelievably ridiculous results.

i don't hate the guy but as an actor there is no way in hell he's second on the list when you have many more seasoned actors that have proven their craft. long before you arrived those rankings have been dominated by the fangirl demographic.....

Gokusen ranked second, says it all mwahaha puhlease

yeah....it's quite comical....as you mentioned nanako and several others are more accomplished...but we all know the rankings are far from accurate when it comes to skill and taste...it's more a popularity contest.

just completed ep 3 of kisarazu cats eye and eps 2-3 of kekkon dekinai otoko. both these doramas are paced somewhat differently from the usual, which is a rather refreshing change. didn't expect much after ep one of KDO but its turning out to be better than i expected w00t!

lol, Schubert's Erlkonig in ep 4 of Kekkon Dekinai Otoko, i'm rather surprised by the choice of music the producers chose for this show. Shostakovich/Khatchaturian in the first few eps - heavy stuff

Yeah, I've stopped looking at the lists for any indication of a good drama to watch. It's so skewed by fangirl voting. bleh

If I had my say on the actors list, then Tomoko Yamaguchi would be right up there together with Abe Hiroshi and Suzuki Honami. Matsumoto Jun and Aya Ueto are nowhere close to the top 10 best in terms of acting but they're up there while Kuroki Hitomi and Oda Yuji barely make it on the top 50 list. And Kanno Miho is not even on the rankings. Wtf? It's like a current favorites chart list, I reckon.

haha, that's a nice way of putting it. i've stopped looking at the top 50 ages ago - i just go around and browse around each specific dorama and read some of the more serious reviews (non-fangirl based ones if i can distinguish it) to decide whether i should get it or not

well, that wasnt a bad idea at first, i started out that way too and that introduced me to some great doramas like long vacation, love generation, orange days etc. but after i saw some of the more higher ranked doramas that didn't feel they should be there
