Forget about Tackey... whoever he/she is.

The best actor/actress by far is Ueto Aya. Have you seen Attack No. 1 yet? That's a very good drama.

Beaten

if you did bare not turning off your TV, at least it could be a good way to lose weight. Either you don't feel like eating anymore, or you throw up all the food you've eaten. or both hehe

But the story itself wasn't that bad right?

Episode 7 of "Boku no Aruku Michi". If anyone here has intimate knowledge of autistic persons, can they comment on how accurate Kusanagi's portrait of an autistic person is?

i haven't seen that dorama, but let me say that there are multiple types of autism. Kusanagi may be portraying a high functioning autistic, while I may know a lower functioning autistic. it may be hard to make a comparison.

BMW

I'm happy to hear you're enjoying Kuitan. It ain't earth shattering, or life changing... but I thought it was fun. And it didn't try to be anything other than what it was... which was a shiny bit of silliness.

I've been watching an oldy. Ginrou kaiki file "Files of silver wolf".

Think the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew getting together to solve an X-Files case. Part detective story, part ghost story, part sci-fi, part comic book action hero stuff.

My copy has no subs, but it doesn't matter. THe mysteries are pretty simple, and they're good about showing reenactments of what really happened so the frustration level is low.

The real selling point is watching some of my favorite actresses so early in their careers. The show features a 19 year old Mai Hosho (Shomuni, Love & Fight), a 20 year old Yoshino Kimura (Perfect Bride, Hojo Tokimune, Wedding Planner), and a 16 year old Sayaka Yamaguchi (Anego, Top Lady, 14 Sai no Haha). It's a trip.

Fortunately there are only 5 mysteries divided up into 10 episodes.

Two mysteries in and I'm still enjoying myself... but I don't know if I'll make it to #5.

Oh! And I've seen Tomoko Yamaguchi's visit to Russia twice now, and I'm planning on watching it again later this week. Eventually I'll stop focusing in on her and I'll look at some of the palaces, and art work she's showing. Man, she does shine. And it was great to see the reactions of people on the street, in Japan, when she walked by.

Yeah, it's no terribly thought-provoking, but very entertaining... And that's what I want to see.

I get enough drama here at work: I don't need to come home and get jerked around by a depressing, gut-wrenching J-drama. bleh
