Lol. I know what you mean. I'm like that too. Even though "Majou No Jouken" was terrible, I ended up watching the whole thing.

Ahhh, Tokyo Wankei. Another stinker. I think the only good thing about that drama was the theme song. Although I prefer the Loveholic version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLQPq0QjtYY

For some weird reason I enjoyed Tokyo Wankei..

The NHK Taiga for 2007 is:

Fuurinkazan.

The lead will be played by Masaaki Uchino.

http://jdorama.com/artiste.505.htm

Should you want to get a head start on who this guy was, you might check out "Kagemusha", the film Kurasawa Akira did about this character in 1980. Doubtless Kurasawa's slant on this guy will be different from a Taiga's take... but it'll give you an intro.

Dang. I was thinking about taking a break from Taiga's for a while, but Misa Shimizu is in the cast... so that makes it a must see for me.

Thanks for the review. Now I know I would not like it because of the contrived plot situations you described. Grumble

Arigato Geezer, Bow But they're going to have a tough time giving better performances than what we had in Komyu ga Tsuji Funny how that happens when the cast contains real actors and not J-pop singers/idols.

Then watch Toshiie TO Matsu. Quality acting, a great story line. Cant beat it. That's why Im watching all 49 episodes for the second time with my BF who is still a drama newbie and is totally hooked. We're on ep 16 now. Yeah

Finished watching Yasha !

my gosh this dorama is daymn good!!! It's very nice to see a rare mystery/thriller/action dorama.

I have to say, the cast in it was totally perfect. Hideaki Itou was utterly convincing playing two roles at once, the hero and the villain (Arisue Sei and Amemiya Rin). And Kashiwabara Shuji who played as the blind guy was daymn good he really acted like a real one. 'Tasty' yet very nice to know tha fact that the japanese still has some great young actors in their entertainment industry who is not another dancing boyband pretty face turning themselves into horrible actors only by selling their looks and makes your sister become annoying by making them say "kakkoiii..." or "kawaiiii" every 10 minutes when they're watching a dorama with you in the living room.

No doubt on the script. Maybe that's why Abe Hiroshi agreed on only doing a side-role; being a bodyguard/asassin.

thinking that the manga-ish plot and chara development was too biased to be made into a dorama, once you've seen it, you will be feasted with such juicy mystery, yet the wrapping gives you vivid imagination making the storyline and characters feeling more realistic. And these facts erases all the pessimistic accusitions that i had when i watched the first episodes of this dorama ( the first two episodes were daymn slow and lead into dullness, but it was very worth continuing ). i wonder, why is the rating is so low?

I like it. 9/10

next up: Umizaru Evolution

Finished "CA to Oyobi" yesterday. It was quite fun, but felt a bit like a budget version of "Attention Please", even though I mostly prefer the cast in "CA" to "AP".

Just reading that you started Kekkon is enough to make me watch portions of it again. I've seen it about 3 times already and it just gets better each time. It will be one of my all time favorites.. Dancing
