hmmm... aside from the usual "sayonara" and "arigatou"...

the first word i really heard and became interested in was...

"NANI" Shocked hehe

My bf just kept repeating it again & again as an expression way back in our freshmen years in HS... Naughty

The first japanese word I heard was bakero. It was on a local (Singapore) tv drama where they show the japanese invasion.

the first word i heard was ordigato from my aunt after i gave her the map to our road trip! i yelled at her because i thought she said are you gay! lol! momments later i asked her wat that word meant & she said it meant thankyou in japanese! so then i had to apoligize to her after that! hehe
