Hmm.
That might be a more valid reason than "I hurt it picking up a garden hose."

Traffic starting backing up on the 3rd Street exit... And of course, I took the wrong off ramp and had to circle around...
And it was jammed in and around Little Tokyo, so we parked at a lot near the New Otani hotel... For $12...
Didn't take a lotta pics, but those that I took were pretty good, I think.
We checked out the Beer Garden in the New Otani and bumped into the Nisei Week Queen and her court...
But I was too gutless to take any pictures of them as they were being interviewed by some people...

Yeah, it was smoking out there... My car's external thermometer was registering 98F.
But it beats that nasty, numbing cold snap we had in February hands down.

Working on it...
There wasn't that much to see, this being the first day of the event... Maybe we shoulda went the following week, with the carnival and stuff...
No Taiko drum demonstrations or the like... And we didn't enter the Tofu thingie like we did last year: we didn't think it was worth it...
The Beer Garden in the New Otani hotel was pretty cool with the multple waterfalls and Japanese-style gardens... Nice.

yeah, it was fun, and scortching temps, near 100
the beer garden, my third time there, and those water fountains are so nice....it's suppose to replicate the actual beer garden in the New Otani in Tokyo...i been by there in Tokyo last month, but only the front entrance, i think...
oh and those hot J-girl candidates...i looked and smile at one of them...forgot which girl's name..didn't look like they were being interviewed, just girly chatter...and the purple outfits....oh yeah!
