I saw some Japanese lessons going on to hit on Kassy!! She needs to find out Kassy's address!!
Yes. I have watched Gotaisetsu. Kassy was soooooooooooo hot!! Story was OK. I wounldn't watch it if Kassy was not on it.
Watashi wa genki desu!
Yep... I am also practising the phrases too.
Anyway, if I have the address, I would be the first to go there immediately.
Hmm... I realised all his shows are kinda similar. As in the stories are usually ܂܂ but he is always hot! Most of us fans ended up watching his shows because of him and not because of the shows. Oops...
Similar case for Honey & Clover (which I just finished watching the latest). I would not have watch it, if not for him. There's something wrong with the whole pace of the drama... _________________
Bubbles....welcome back! We're only joking around and being crazy in the forum....Chokakoi is giving me tips in hitting on kassy. Maybe you can also give me some tips too . This is maybe a silly question, but I just ask it. Is it ok in japan if a girl approach a guy in the first place? I'm just curious about it.
About Gotaisetsu...I have to agree with Bubbles...The story is ok (although I don't understand what is being said. I only judge on the way the actors are acting and what the story is in generally), but kassy did a good job! Before I watched the SP I was like OMG why did kassy choose a role as a priest, but after watching it I think it's ok. I don't know how it will be if I can understand it.

You are right!! I guess all good shows are taken by JE guys or Kennon actors. I hope Kassy will gain popularity back with Hachikuro and this coming new movie as a middle age actor!!

I'm still learning the sentences ......
Haha!! It is always good to try! I would have a memo which you jot down your email address and a phone number in Japan (if available) ready. Also, write down stuff like "2/21܂œɂ܂BԂΓēĂ!!--- 2/21 made Tokyo ni imasu. Jikan ga areba Tokyo wo annnai shitekudasai!!" (I will be in Tokyo untill 2/21. Please show me Tokyo around if you have time!!)
When you see him, you can hand it to him. You can say "Dai fan nandesu!! Kore uketotte kudasai!" (I'm your big fan! Please take this for me!)
or (if you wanna hung out right then!)
"Issho ni ocha demo doudesuka? Chotto ohanashi shimashou!" (Let's go get some drink? ---ocha is tea but it's usually used for meaning some drink in this context--- I would like to get to know you.)
In any case, you gotta show your pretty face and your best smile to him!!
Japanese girls hit on guys some time but some guys (I think many guys) don't like easy girls for relationship though. Your case is different. So many girls must have been hitting on Kassy since he is an actor. So he would not think you are easy or anything. Good luck!!
Kassy was acting very well on Gotaisetsu and I liked everything about the drama for Kassy aspect.

Bubbles, I love you so much! Thanks for all the phrases! I am jotting them down too! Haha... In any case cuti is unsuccessful, I will take over!
I just have a very interesting question to ask... Because I realised in Japan entertainment industry, it seemed that artists get 'retired' very quickly. In like Hong Kong, it is those actors/actresses who reached 30+++ get really famous and that's when their peak arrive...
It seemed to me that in Japan, once you pass the 30 mark, it is almost like "bye..."
The entertainment scene in Japan is like very saturated with the early 20s artists. Everytime I watched a Jdrama... 80% of the cast are young newbies, whom I cannot even mouth out their names...
But in Hong Kong, the older the actors/actresses get, their value increase and they are considered as an asset... It's seemed like it is the opposite way in Japan entertainment scene...
I am talking in general sense, because all the J artists I have liked and knew since the 90s (when it was J dramas peak in other parts of Asia), have all erm.... disappeared? or their career generally seemed to become rather stagnant... _________________

Good!!
Uh-oh!! Cuti is in trouble! You guys need to find him before all of that!!
You know Japan very well!! First of all, I will have to say that what you see in this torrent sites is a very small portion of Japanese entertainment. People put dramas out based on what others want. All bad shows are there but you would not notice them.
Though there is an age line like you are talking about. That is one of the part I don't like about my country. People in Japan often say 30 years old is very old (especially to female)!! I think Japanese men still occupying higher position in many job fields and men's opinion is stronger in this society.
I think that things go like this in Japanese entertainment:
Men like younger girls. --> Younger women get to be treated better. --> Younger girls look down on ladies above 30 years old. --> Media high lightens younger girls because of better ratings. --> TV cast younger boys to match girls more often.
This is not the only reason out there but it is too major to not mention.
JE actors will be fine after they get old since JE has too much power in this industry. Other older actors can be doing well too such as Shosuke Tanihara, Ryoko Yonekura, Naoto Fujikic They show up on drama almost every season. I guess they have to come up with a character that people still like to watch them to keep up. Kassy needs to meet a good drama roll and do it well so that he gets more offer.
Hey BTW girls!!! Ifm ready to posted Kassyfs old drama gYo nimo kimyou na monogatari – Lizard tail.h Does anyone want it?

Bubbles,
That's a very detailed description of the scenario. Oh talking about Fujiki Naohito, he is another of my favourite actor! But though he appeared in more dramas, in recent years I realised he appeared as supporting roles most of the time... The attention was either on the young female lead or some JE boys.
Guess, one sentence can sum it all...
It is either pretty young girls or JE boys. Others, please stand aside.
I have a friend who is from Japan, she also told me about the situation where men still have stronger opinions and hold higher positions... seemed like it's tough to strike your own career path if you are a woman...
And I realised something, in most situation, the moment the actresses get married, they bow out of the entertainment scene or rather bow out of the working field... I think that's a pity, as some of these actresses could be really good...
by the way, I have watched that drama before already. Thanks for the offer.... maybe you can ask the rest? _________________

Whoah! nice to see the thread active again ^0^
cuti,
I hope you won't have a mind block or panic when you see him in person. I'd probably stand there like a tree if it was me and after a minute I would let out an ear splitting shriek which would drive him away T~T
or
I'd just skip the rest and say "watashi to kekkon shite kudasai" and haul him off the street. I always imagine doing that to an artist during a performance like putting him on a black bag and carrying him to my country. It would have been great during his No'where days.
Locking him in a bathroom, now that would be something YoY
I did watch Gotaisetsu and didn't understand like 70% of the things they were saying. Seeing him as a priest was ahhhhh...
chokakoi, I'm taking up your offer on the links. PM me onegai
I 'm watching Hachikuro- it was my favorite manga but seeing the live action I didn't like the way some of the events and the character personalities changed. Good thing Nomiya is still Nomiya. I'm waiting for the development between Yamada and him.
I understood only some of the things he said like the hair thing, about love and age

*scribbling notes*
"Issho ni ocha demo doudesuka? Chotto ohanashi shimashou!"
"Dai fan nandesu!! Kore uketotte kudasai"
Thanks so much for these...
I have a question though... can I ask him to watch a baseball game with me? I mean after having tea.
Eeek... 30 is old. They're mean. If I were a man I'd prefer Matsushima Nanako over some teenage girl.
Yeah, Kitagawa-san is powerful. All those JE men with drama every season.
bubbles, I'd like to watch Lizard's tail... please post it.
I'm hoping Kassy will have more projects these year too. Btw, the movie you mentioned for this year is this

Oops!! I mistook his name!! Fujiki san has often been on dramas from before. My friend loves him. So I sometime try to get Nao chanfs dramas for her. I guess he seems more popular for a couple of years because he is picking up good dramas or rolls to act. He became likable to many kind of people by showing up on some variety programs or dancing parapara on the drama. I canft believe he took the roll of gGyarusa-g!! It was too bad to watch for me though it was good for him since teenage girls gave him pretty good credit for dancing parapara. Yeeee Haaaaw!!
Womenfs rights are getting better in business though. I gotta write this for the Horner of Japanese men. Many Japanese men still think it is menfs role to work and keep family life nice when they get marry. In some country, if wife doesnft have job, people think she is lazy. Japanese wives can be going to gym, shopping, learning cooking in community club or something if they want but they canft divorce once they are spoiled like that. I donft know which is better thoughc Many ways to look at things in this world!!
Hi Dang! Oh boy!! Kassy will be harassed by three foreigners who say same phrase all of sudden!! Haha! You guys! Do NOT go too far!!
I should explain this before you guys use it somewhere. gOcha demo dou desuka?h is a pretty common phrase to hit on girls little while ago. It is not the coolest or anything but it is the easiest phrase for people to know that you are asking to hang out. Anyway, do not use this phrase for inviting to bars, although ocha implies something to drink from this context. If you want to go to bars, say gissho ni nomi ni ikimasenka?h (Do you want to go get some alcohol drink together?).
You can ask him to go see a baseball game but I think he prefer a soccer gamec I'm not sure!!
Matsushima Nanako is beautiful!! That's a special occasion!
You are right! Aibou is coming up too!! The movie I mentioned was gKanna san daiseikou desu!h Info about it is not officially released yet. They must have finished filming it by now.
I havenft started watching Hachikuro yet. Ifm the person who wants to see all episodes in once. Japanese Kassy fans are as well talking that itfs not very good as a drama but they watch it for Kassy. I watched Hachikuro movie and did not think it was good. Hachikuro is such a long comic and it is pretty hard to shorten it for screen.
Bubbles, thx for the japanese sentences....I will definitely write them down in case of.... Those sentences are also useful for other purposes too. Such as approaching other japanese hotties in Tokyo right? I will be very carefully when I'm using one of the phrases as you mentioned before... By the way, can you learn us two more phrases? The first one is how do you ask someone to dance with you. The second one is how do you ask if someone wants to go to diner/lunch/breakfast with you.
Oh...May I ask if you've met Kassy before? That question just pop up on my mind....
Dang........I don't think I will have a black-out when I see kassy. I think I'll cry like this .
Oh...I also have the same thought about taking kassy in my pocket and carrying him back to my country. If it's possible I will definetly do it! Kidnapping kassy is also an option right?
Chokakoi....Oh my....I will to do my very very best then when I'll be in Tokyo.... Hopefully I will be the first!
About the age thing....Not only in Hong Kong, but in Amercia you also see that when the actors/atrices reaching there thirthies they are getting well known and getting respected. Look for example at Matt Damon!
I was thinking about move to japan for about five years in the future. I want to live and work in Japan, but when that happens I will be over the thirty....So that means I will not be respected by younger girls and I will not be treated very well at work...Hmm...I think I have to re-think about it...

Bubbles, Nao chan danced PARAPARA?! haha.... that's Cute!
Well, though Nao chan is cute, when I watched Shukumei, to tell the truth, I really did not notice him at all... Haha... I thought Kassy has stolen all the lights from him... The weird thing is... Nao chan is much older (5 yrs) than Kassy, y is Nao playing the role of the younger brother?! so unconvincing....
anyway... yep... I think regarding to social situation... I think it is up to personal choice in the end... some women are really happy to just quit their jobs and being a full time wife and mother... in my country, some women do that too...
Bar? I dun drink alcohol... Can I go to have dinner with him instead? Dinners last longer and I want to make sure I am sober while meeting up with him...
By the way... AIBOU?! What movie is that?! Oh man... I am so slow in my news.......

Hi Cuti. Finally!! I found a place to post akagi! Go get it from below!!
Many Japanese people should understand simple short phrases of English if they can listen what you are saying. You might be better off to carry a note and pen with you, write down phrase for them and show them if you have problem communicating.
If you are already at the place you can dance,
Issho ni odotte kudasai! (Letfs dance together.)
You can say
Issho ni oshokuji demo dou desuka? (How about dinner(luch/break fast) with me?)
If I have met Kassy or not? You know the answer when you see Kassy is safe!!
Actually, I have never tried to go see any actors before. I saw some famous people on the street but it was all accidental.
Cuti, what I was talking about was society as a whole. You know not all of Japanese people are disrespectful to older. Once you get to know people, they will respect you no matter how old you are. There are so many Japanese people who want to get to know foreigners but they just donft know how. Cuti can bring them out!!

"Issho ni oshokuji demo dou desuka?" I am so going to memorise this phrase by hard! Thanks Bubbles!
By the way, I am about to start my Japanese Language Lessons in a few weeks time. So exciting! I am looking forward to it!
And... seemed like the flu bug has hit me now...
Ya know, things are very weird sometime... when I was living for a short period of time in Hong Kong that time, I never get to see my favourite artists and always ended up accidentally seeing someone whom I don't really like... it's like the more you want to see someone, the more you won't get to see that person... So I think cuti, it's better for you to keep your hopes lower...and just focus your energy into eating all the nice sushi and shop till you drop in Shibuya... _________________

Gotaisetsu was available at Daddict! Check to see if you still can see it or I can help you otherwise. You are my good buddy!!
Kassy will act as one of nine suspects on Aibou. This drama series are pretty popular and his little bro was on the new years special too. This movie could be good one to watch.
About the Hachikuro interview, he just said he was concerning about his hair style being so different from Nomiyafs on the comic but the director did not mind about it at all.
I wish Ifm good at translating but Ifm not! So Ifll just write down some parts I thought they were his personal info.
He said:
He only read boys comics on his childhood such as Dragon ball or some fighting manga.
So he had hart time reading hachikuro at the first place since its story went too slow for him.
Right about Vol.6, he started to enjoy and the story reminded him his old time romance feeling.
When he started to work as an actor, he was totally spending days by agencyfs schedule.
Agency told him whatfs next to do. One day, He had a chance to take one month vacation but he did not know how to spend it when the busy schedule was gone all of sudden.
His younger sister is trying to get in a college now and she worries about something too small for him since he is older and experienced but it is a big problem for her. He thinks people age better after they experience many worries when they are younger.

Thank you so much Bubbles!!!! Oh... I am downloading the show now, hopefully I can get to watch it... Thanks for offering to help, you are so nice!!!
So he also thought the hair is not right.... cos I thought so too when I first watch the drama....
Ha... I also guess his sister would be ready to get into college now... since I last calculated, his sis would b 4 yrs younger than me.. haha... I think he must be a very good brother to his sis....
Thank you Bubbles, and enjoy your meal! Catch up with you again! _________________
