Henry did not dove in a scandalous manner as C. Ronaldo (this means without being touched), a Portuguese player grabed his feet with a tackle, he had no intention to dive. The ref' is what's it all about after.

That dive was like a slowed tape Shake Head

I dont really know what youre trying to do with picking a fight, do you expect me to say "OH GOD FRANCE IS SO GOOD!" or something? Sometimes its healthy to accept criticism against your own team.

okay mates. let's just leave this france and c. ronaldo thingy.i've seen people get mad over each other (youtube for example, it never end). and hope for an entertaining and memorable final match (and 3rd place match, if anybody's going to watch it. i will, i think)
i'll be supporting italy, by the way Victory! Peace!
my sister is supporting italy too, solely because they have some handsome players. Beaten

Picking a fight with you? You must be mistaken, this is not my intention at all.

But the one who has to admit criticism is you indeed. I never bashed a team until I was bored (I said I dislike Portugal and I got over it). You did. But you constantly said things about this "damn France" team isn't really playing so I had to refresh your memories. Whatever you'll say, France is in the finals, this is what I wanted to highlight. I have yet to see if Italy will give us "some serious kick in the ass". Otherwise, you won't be happy. =)

thanks for the upcoming pictures...Luthiel ^_^

all i know is this the next time the Portuguese team plays a match they should all come out with scuba tanks on their backs to acknowledge what the world already knows..they are the highest paid divers in the world.

i'm glad it's france v. italy..otherwise it might have been a diving contest instead of a soccer match.

if you give the port. players enough air they might be able to find Jack Sparrows lost treasure from Pirates of the Carribean 2...i think Johnny Depp will be happy.

Ok, then I must be mistaken. But hey, does the fact that I said "damn France" really bother you so much? If I remember correctly, I said that after France vs. Portugal match, so I apologize if I reacted too strongly. Also "some serious kick in the ass" was never related to Italy. It was all for the possibility that the final match wouldve been Germany - France. Since the result is not that, I will watch the match because I support Italy. You have a weird habit of combinding my mostly unrelated posts to this topic of discussion. But anyway, I dont really want argue, so lets just see what happens in the final and bronze match.. If France wins the final, I want to see a great matches, better than the ones earlier... But I have high hopes for Italy.

No, you said it before the match (you said right after Brazil lost so... go check to see if I'm wrong) so I don't see where is my weird habit to mix your up your posts.

Besides, none offense taken... Really.

Now this is funny. English ppl, whose team lost to Portugal, did this right? rofl Its easy to look out for the dives after youve lost ne rofl ahahahaha, thanks for the laugh of the day rofl rofl

I dunno about Miguels "dive". I might have not been a dive at all... I mean he was replaced by another player because he hurt his leg... Maybe he just hurt his leg somehow before he fell or dove or whatever. And Im not saying its a fault of any french player, since it obviously wasnt. But who knows anyway..

the only reason miguel left the game was because he dived without enough oxygen in his scuba tank...the fool ran out of air......

Beckenbauer calls for summit to stop play-acting

BERLIN, July 6 (Reuters) - Franz Beckenbauer has called for a summit meeting of players, coaches and referees in a bid to stop the increasing trend towards play-acting and feigning injury which has blighted matches at the World Cup.

Beckenbauer, president of the German organising committee who skippered West Germany to World Cup victory in 1974 and coached them to success in 1990, said it was time for players to stop cheating in a bid to gain an unfair advantage.

'I think it is time to get the players, the coaches and the referees around the table and try to find some sort of solution to this problem.

'None of us in the game wants these incidents. The players are seeking to gain an unfair advantage and attempt to exploit every situation.

'The referees are there to correct this kind of misconduct, but the players do not make it easy for the referees.

'If I was a referee I would also show the yellow card to any player who signalled to the ref with an imaginary card to get an opponent booked. That is also cheating.' (this what you suggested earlier, Terryb)
World governing body FIFA and its European counterpart UEFA are planning a technical convention with coaches, referees and players' representatives in Berlin in September to discuss the World Cup with cheating and play-acting set to be on the agenda.

Beckenbauer was also disappointed with the number of goal attempts at the finals, adding, 'as the old German coach Sepp Herberger used to show, if you don't shoot, you won't score. Well there have not been enough shots on goal as far as I am concerned.'

Speaking six years to the day after Germany was awarded the right to stage the finals by FIFA, Beckenbauer said the World Cup had been an astonishing success and had brought people together in a way the organisers could only have dreamed of.

'The Fan Miles have been a spectacular success and Germany has celebrated the World Cup in a way few thought was possible.'

When I first saw the replay I thought Miguel knocked knees with another player, but obviously he didn't. Maybe a very bad cramp XD. Well, in any case it must of hurt since he couldn't continue playing, and I don't know any player who would force himself out of the game if wasn't hurting.

Terryb: Thanks for that link.

I tried not to read any of the comments, b/c goddamn...harsh =\

Luthiel no Edge : I'll be waiting for those piccys. You didn't eat since the match? zomg, get something in your system, you need strength for the finals!
