People at work are always griping about their spouse. Of course, they also want others in misery, I guess, as they keep telling me that I should get married. I look at them and ask "After what you just told me?"

I used to work at a place where we had a schedule that had you working every 3rd Saturday. This one guy that was married said he didn't think it was right, because he had kids and I was single, so he shouldn't have to work Saturdays. I looked at him and said, "O.K. Ed, If I ever get your wife pregnant, I'll work your Saturday." I don't think he liked that answer. Mr Green

One co-worker, who actually never gripes about his wife, calls my days off "Guilt Free" days off as I do whatever I want on them. He says he sometimes does that, but feels guilty later as the wife is not pleased with his lack of productivity.

I thought that this was rude...a few months ago I was talking to one of our patients at work and she asked if I was married. When I told her "no," she then asked if I was a lesbian. Grumble Whatta bitch! My boss told me that I should've told her "yes" and ask her out. hehe

And just today someone asked what my maiden name was. I told the person that I wasn't married and I got the obligatory "oh, marriage is overrated. Etc etc etc."

Imo, it would be nice to have a part-time marriage. Something like the drama Shuumatsukon would be ideal for me. Big Grin

LOL! Dude, that happens to me ALL the time. And I have a bold personality, and apparently a female with a bold personality MUST be a lesbian. Rolling eyes

I don't get asked my maiden name tho. I look sorta young for my age, so people are always shocked when they find out I've been through a marriage/divorce.

They actually ask you if you're a lesbian?? I find that to be very rude. I mean, it's no business what someone's sexual preference is, especially if they're not asking you out. hehe

And you're like, what--25 or 26, right? Wow, you're still young and you seem to have lived more than I have, in a sense. Sounds like a touchy subject, so I won't ask about it.

Outright I've only been asked twice, I think. But I always get the suspicious questions where you know they're trying to find out. Rolling eyes

Yea, 25. The divorce isn't the touchy part. The marriage is. rofl

Die Laughing You're boss is one funny guy. hehe She's probably a lesbian, cause she has a bold personality. Bleah

Seriously, if you want to do small talk, I can think of other subjects besides someone's sexual preference. You don't ask personal questions like that to people you don't know.
