Your friend pulled a joke on you, I guess.
"nan babo ya" means, " I'm stupid " ..
See how easy it is to learn?

LOL, I feel the opposite way although my Japanese sucks anyway, I still absorb it better than Korean. Well, not like I tried much to learn any Korean, but still
When looking at hangul charts, I'm still overwhelmed. They just won't stick in my head although it's all phonetic. Plus, there're some that are pronounced differently depending on whether it comes in front of the word or at the end, like I was told "g" is "guh" in the first position while it's "kuh" in the final position. I'm no good at remembering that kinda stuff The pronunciation seems so difficult
Also, I think a lot of the other things they share with Japanese are a bit more difficult to remember in Korean. For example, the particles We have the topic and subject marker like Japanese does, but Korean has two for each, depending on whether the previous word ends with a consonant or not, right? Then for other particles, I don't even know
I don't plan on taking Korean lessons or anything, I'd rather progress in Japanese more. But, I'm interested in simple things like sentence structure, verbs and conjugations, simple phrases, variance of speech styles (informal, formal, "guy"), and etc...

surprisingly my korean is better than my japanese (i still can't read it only understand it when spoken..) .... i think it is a bit easier to learn
i mean japanese sounds 'riggid' ---Ƃ chinese is a kind of 'flowing' very subttle 䈤 ... and finaly korean is kind of a mix between these two 자매 좋은- 아-침
