Any of you guys seen Rainbow Song?

From the NY Times:

Rainbow Song
aka Niji No Megami
2006-Japan

PLOT DESCRIPTION
A young man wishes against all hopes for a second chance at love in this romantic drama from Japan. Tomoya Kishida (Hayato Ichihara) is a film student with dreams of one day becoming an important director. While at school, he meets pretty Aoi Sato (Juri Ueno), and the two become fast friends. However, while he lacks the nerve to tell her, before long Tomoya has fallen in love with Aoi. While they remain best friends, after graduating, Tomoya gets a job as an assistant on a film set, while Aoi heads off to visit California. Shortly after sending a picture of a rainbow to Aoi's cell phone, Tomoya receives the shocking news that her flight has crashed and she has died. As he arranges to fly to California and arrange for Aoi's funeral, Tomoya begins having persistent daydreams about the love affair he wanted but never had with her. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Man, my emule adventures = the worst. After like 20hours downloading myratio was 10:1 (2gigs up, only 200mb down)

what really annoys me is the way it works? when you're [On queue] you wait for hours, and when it's finally your turn it either says, asking > checking > queue full (WTF?!) > on queue. what the heck are you in queue for ??
that happened soo many times. and when it does start downloading it stops after a few mins and back in the queue again Shake Head

After reading up I figured a way out to import my incomplete torrent file (using MorphXT) which was at 91%, but only 500mb out of 1.4gig of that data was approved. Left my comp on overnight and went to work - finally the cd1 is finished.

But meanwhile I had posted a request on the newsgroups, and to my surprise someone filled my request XD all that frustration nearly for nothing Beaten guess posting to NG's pays off now hehe

I haven't seen Rainbow Song, plot sounds interesting though. Somewhat like Itoshi Kimi's opening?

last Japanese movie I saw was Udon, as usual with 'food' themed shows it was really enjoyable to watch and makes you feel hungry Beaten

Oooh, that's the one with Yuko Takeuchi in it - also called Tengoku no Honya - Koibi. I have it downloaded but not watched yet. If you go back a few pages in this thread, someone said it was quite good - I think.

Note: you have to really pay attention while watching this film... And you'll probably have to watch it multiple times to pick up all the nuances.

But it's a fun film. Victory! Peace!

I'll try and remember that. It's VERY slow (as usual), so it's probably gonna be weeks before I see it. Sweat

There currently are no English subs for Kame Wa Igai to Hayaku Oyogu as far as I know.
