Thanks, I am going to look for this.
If you watch it , please report back and let us know your opinion of the film. My friend in London actually called me last week and told me he saw it and he said it was very entertaining.

^^ Last view, not sure what to thing of it, quite odd, quirky, dark and depressing but not with really much of a plot. Good opening and ending but after watching it not sure what I watched, wasn't a waste though as it was rather interesting, reminded me so much of a Sion film, not sure if that's good or not. _________________

ADC has this movie available for download, but I think it might be a previous version.
I believe you are referring to the original 1963 version, perhaps?
In any case I just finished watching 13 Assassins on Amazon Instant Video streamed to my TV.
Dayem, this is such a good movie! Anyone with even a passing interest in jidaigeki films owes it to himself to watch this film. It was really quite good. Superb in many respects...although it's quite violent it's well acted and very well paced. Highly recommended. Director Takashi Miike is due the critical acclaim heaped on this film.
Just finished watching it at home. It's really entertaining. I wanted to watch it in the theater here but it's showing at these awkward showtimes so I settled for an HD stream from Amazon Instant Video. Definitely worth the 3 bucks.

There's something about the smell of popcorn?
True. True. Nothing beats watching a flick in the theater...but with today's advancements in bigger TVs, streaming media, HD content, and the like it's getting a lot more enjoyable to watch at home.
Since 2000, the odd pairing of Nakama Yukie (Gokusen) and Abe Hiroshi (Hero) has tickled Japanese audiences with this equally odd blend of Scooby-Doo and The X-Files. After three seasons as a television series, two television movies, and two feature films, Trick celebrates its 10th anniversary with the third feature film, Psychic Battle Royale. This time, the magician and physicist paranormal detective team attempts to expose their toughest enemy yet - the contestants of a psychic competition. Series director Tsutsumi Yukihiko and writer Makita Mitsuharu return with more of the same bizarre humor that shows the truth is always stranger than fiction in the world of Trick. Physicist Ueda (Abe Hiroshi), part of a duo that has debunked many so-called supernatural phenomenon, is one day approached by Shohei (Sato Takeru). He claims that a group of self-proclaimed psychics is about to battle over the right to rule his village, and he wants Ueda to prove the psychics to be frauds in order to stop the tradition. Afraid to go alone, he tries to manipulate his partner, professional magician Yamada (Nakama Yukie), to join him on his mission, but he doesn't know that Yamada is going to the village to join the competition as well.

from Tokyograph by tokyograph
V6 member Okada Junichi (30) is starring in a new movie called gTenchi Meisatsu,h directed by Takita Yojiro (gOkuribitoh). He is joined by actress Miyazaki Aoi (25), whom he previously worked with on the movie gKagehinata ni Sakuh in 2008.
gTenchi Meisatsuh is an adaptation of an award-winning novel by Ubukata Tow (gLe Chevalier D'Eon,h gMardock Scrambleh). Okada plays the role of Shibukawa Shunkai, an astronomer and Go player in the early Edo period who was later known as Yasui Santetsu. The story follows his life as he undertook the significant project of revising the calendar, leading to the invention of the Jokyo calendar that was used for several decades.
Miyazaki plays the wife of Shibukawa, whom she initially meets through her mathematician brother (Sato Ryuta). Kanjani8 member Yokoyama Yu plays Honinbo Dosaku, Shibukawafs rival in Go. Other cast members include Nakai Kiichi, Matsumoto Koshiro, Ichikawa Somegoro, Ichikawa Kamejiro, Sasano Takashi, Kishibe Ittoku, Watanabe Dai, and Shirai Akira.
Hisaishi Jo is handling the soundtrack. Filming is scheduled to finish in mid-August, and theatrical release is planned for fall 2012.

gMotekih movie features Nagasawa Masami, Aso Kumiko, Naka Riisa, Maki Yoko
from Tokyograph by tokyograph
In March, it was revealed that the drama series gMotekih was getting a movie version with actor Moriyami Mirai again in the lead role, but the main female cast was unknown at the time. A press conference held on Monday unveiled his new co-stars: Nagasawa Masami, Aso Kumiko, Naka Riisa, and Maki Yoko.
Both the drama series and the movie are adaptations of Kubo Mitsurofs romance/comedy manga gMoteki,h which tells the story of a man named Fujimoto Yukiyo (Moriyama) who suddenly finds himself very popular with women, something he has never experienced before. In the drama series, the main female characters were played by Nonami Maho, Mitsushima Hikari, Matsumoto Rio, and Kikuchi Rinko.
While the television drama followed the plot of the manga, the movie version is an entirely original story written by Kubo. The protagonist Yukiyo moves on from being a temp worker to writing for a news website, and he soon meets several women who are all interested in him.
Nagasawa plays Miyuki, a magazine editor with a gkiller smileh whom Yukiyo meets through Twitter; Aso plays Miyukifs friend Rumiko; Naka plays a girlsf bar employee named Ai; and Maki plays Yukiyofs senpai Motoko.
The movie is already set for release on September 23, 2011.

At home, his famous play-writer father Kenta Matsuzaki (Masahiko Tsugawa) treats him like an idiot.
One day, Hiroshifs life turns upside down when he meets the woman of his dreams, aspiring actress Aya (Hiromi Nagasaku). While attempting to court Aya, Hiroshi also tries to play the lead in his own life c
Viewed this a few days ago. You know you got a problem when watching the extra features is a lot more entertaining than watching the movie. The film has an amateurish feel to it in terms of the script and direction and in spite of the presence of a couple of really good veteran actors (Tsugawa Masahiko and Matsuzaka Keiko). Ironically the writer/director, Ogata Atsushi, is more interesting than his product. A Tokyo native who grew up part of the time in New York, he attended Harvard and MIT, worked for a number of years in Holland, and speaks such flawless English you would think he was an American. I have to say I found the director's commentary version of the movie a lot more interesting than the movie itself.
