I have been lurking here for about 300 pages or so....thought I would finally join and say hello, particularly since you are trying to reach page targets for everyone's birthday!

As you can probably tell from my chosen name, Takuya is my ichiban, for his looks, talent, etc., with Shingo a close second for his humor. I am looking forward to next week's SmapxSmap Cannes special with the two of them.

And, I start my visit with you all with a question - does anyone know if it is possible to hear What's Up Smap on Tokyo FM from outside Japan? I have managed to get the internet radio for the station to work, but it doesn't seem to be live programming....sorry if this has already been asked a thousand pages ago...

The news is about the guys, an ex-professional baseball player who belonged to the Yomiuri Giants team( as you know, Nakai-kun is a great fan of the Giants team).
He has come to Japan to join the event of some combat sports
He is asking Nakai to come to the event for cheering him in order to warm up the event.
He has appeared Nakai�fs program as a special guest several times.

I am afraid I don't have any. I was not a fan of SMAP when I saw the drama. But I watched the drama every week. Shingo did a cameo appearance in the drama, didn't he? I watched a sequel of the drama, too.

For suggested SMAP doramas I am afraid I can only give info on Kimura ones. For more details, check out the dorama summaries on this site. I'd recommend any of the below:

Most recent Kimura dorama is Karei Naru Ichizoku, it is a bit of a complex business-oriented story line but Kimura acts well in it. - grown up Kimura

I'd recommend Pride - it's the dorama that really turned me into a Kimura freak. It is well acted, and it has Sakaguchi Kenji in it - more eye candy....I think the character development in it is pretty good. Sporty Kimura.

Beautiful Life is frequently on the 'best dorama' lists. I got a bit tired of the female lead erecting emotional barriers in a dorama about 'barrier free' love. Emotional Kimura.

Good Luck - I found it OK, but doesn't stand out to me as one of the better Kimura doramas.

Engine is good - mischevous overgrown kid Kimura.

Hero was another good one - investigative and insightful Kimura - more a romantic subtext than a romance, but still good.

Nemureru Mori (Sleeping Forest) - mysterious Kimura (but don't watch back to back with A Million Stars Fall from the Sky)

Long Vacation for young Kimura.

A Million Stars Fall from the Sky for scary Kimura

Love Generation - sukebe Kimura, though I do like the pairing with the female lead.

Gift (can't find subs for it but cho kakkoi site has episode summaries) - good for young sexy long-haired Kimura, but less developed acting.

I have watched so many doramas in my entire life but Love Generation is still my favourite. It's a very simple storyline, maybe sometimes too simple to be able to generate the great ratings it did and the supporting actors and actresses makes you wanna press the forward button whenever they appear, but the CHEMISTRY between the two leads... oh the CHEMISTRY.... this is THE dorama that explains why Kimura Takuya should ALWAYS be paired up with Matsu Takako.

No, Halu and Aki just doesn't cut it for me! Why is everyone starting to make that pair the new KimuraMatsu or something?! I find the romance and chemistry in Pride VERY reliant on the storyline and stage direction (Like the ice-skating bits, that kiss at the counter, Halu being too perfect for a guy etc) rather than the raw, natural chemistry between KimuraMatsu. My opinion.
